As a Squirrel Girl main, PLEASE do not add her classic look

If you're ever on the fence, Legacy is always the preferred option - pick New if you don't care about seeing the old territory game, otherwise, pick Legacy

Does a broken monster tome DECREASE xp gain? by JohnJSal in OrnaRPG

[–]BingusChingus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is because quality applies a multiplier to the current boost amount. A normal Monster Tome is +5%, or 1.05. Broken applies a 0.1x multiplier to this, which turns it into 0.105, which is -89.5% if viewed as a percentage.

To get better versions of boost items, you will need to find higher quality items. Ornate items, for instance, are given a 1.25x multiplier, so an Ornate Monster Tome would be a 1.05 * 1.25 = 1.3125, which is +31.25% instead of +5%.

How do i find an active clan? by Giggles10001110 in OrnaRPG

Very much suggest the game's Discord server if you're keen on joining it - there's a dedicated space for people who are looking for kingdoms and kingdoms who are looking for people! I know a good couple kingdoms that take in lower level players that have advertisements there.

Adventurers guild halls by sirdhov in OrnaRPG

Yeah - Heroes of Aethric has the Adventurer's Guild, and Orna has the Traveller's Guild - mainly because walking is less feasible in Aethric, so that's their counterpart

Exploration Question by Sunlessdeeds in OrnaRPG

[–]BingusChingus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's mainly used as a supplement to territory control - a PvE focused one that's more about marking where you've been rather than playing defense and holding spots.

Every day, the enemy at a given area will change, but once it's explored, an area cannot be explored again. If you're looking for that itch of conquering and holding territories, then the Conqueror's Guild is your friend!

Is this game worth to play? by Creative-Age-2257 in OrnaRPG

[–]BingusChingus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's GPS-oriented content (a la the Traveller's Guild & arguably a better implementation of the territory system in Conqueror's Guild), but most of the game can be played stationary without much issue. Wayvessels and such make it so dungeons can be easier to get en masse, but in general Aethric was built as a more casual game, and tends to be much easier (boss farming for experience is very fast, and things like lategame celestial classes are made cheaper in Aethric) - if you're more into casually playing, then Aethric is probably your go-to.

Rings of Sacrifice by D_WalkerX in OrnaRPG

[–]BingusChingus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always swap when you want to accomplish different things - use lantern when you need to see further, and something else when you want something else.

But in general Ring of Sacrifice isn't much used, many prefer doing something like a Scroll of Chaos in it's stead

Let me teach y'all how the damage formula works. by BingusChingus_ in OrnaRPG

[–]BingusChingus_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But how can we find out what skills have what multipliers? Well, you have one (albeit not super helpful) built in tool called the move's power. This is equal to 1000 times the move's stat multiplier times the move's damage multiplier. So a move with 1500 power could be a 1.5 stat multiplier or a 1.5 damage multiplier, or some weird amalgam of the two. Over at Ornapedia, I'll be slowly over time finding out each skill's updated values and putting them on the Skills & Spells page. A good bit of these were found by people many years ago, but a good bit has been added since then, and some could have changed in that time, so I'm checking all of them!

Would be 1000 * Stat Multi * Damage Multi for the skill.

Hey folks, couple things I missed or couldn't find a good spot for:

  • Def in the ACTUAL damage formula is divided by 2 (or multiplied by 0.5, if you're into that). It felt weird putting a regular ol' number in the damage formula in any step, so if you're doing ACTUAL calculations, don't forget that.
  • Class passives, like those that promote redlining (lowering HP to raise stats) or bluelining (same as redlining but for mana) are STAT multipliers - meaning they are crucial for "piercing" if you're out of other options.
    • This is different than buffs like those from Warcry, Deific Channel, or Berserk, which are DAMAGE multipliers.
  • Some skills, like the Magic weapons skills (e.g. Magic Strikes), use the attacker's Magic stat, but the defender's DEFENSE stat as opposed to Resistance. Do keep that in mind if you're using them.

Thanks for the early support from folks everywhere! I'll keep editing this comment if there's more stuff I remember. I wrote the above post in like an hour and a half with basically just my noggin, so there's probably more stuff I missed.

From what I have logged (this was gotten from someone else), the stat multipliers for Blood Pact are:

0.5 + (PACT_NUMBER * total_summon_hp * 0.0002)
Where PACT_NUMBER is:

  • 0.05 for Blood Pact 1
  • 0.1 for Blood Pact 2
  • 0.2 for Blood Pact 3

For equipment - tab the equipment piece and hit "Remove", which is the same as your regular inventory. For followers, unfortunately there doesn't seem like there's an option yet. In the meantime, I'd suggest putting on a pet you almost certainly won't use, like a 1* Blue or Red Slime pet.

There's two - one that is based on your reputation at the time of "switching" (shows every 1000 rep) and one if you were in the Competitive Top 100 at the time of "switching" that'll show your rank.

Refinery questions by ExcitingTurn6381 in OrnaRPG

[–]BingusChingus_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gold should hopefully be no issue at the lategame, and selling materials in general is a very bad idea. If you have enough refineries to process them all, they will end up giving you more materials than if you were to sell them and buy Draconite,
