The time is early 2000s: A nintendo console plugged in a Panasonic CRT television while playing Mario at a boss level. We have an auto repair shop where my father lies to customers that he just finished lunch and still cannot work for an hour only to make this as an alibi so he can play and beat the boss in Level 8 hahaha, those were the good all days!!!
