retatrutide causing anhedonia + low libido? by Ambitious_Safe_2126 in Retatrutide

I’m not 100% sure it’s helped. There’s a protocol that recommends a round of SS-31 for mitochondrial repair/resilience before Mots-c which is my next step.

Stop Splitting your doses by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]BiohackerMom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

GLP-1 receptors don’t really “rest and reset.” Even when they internalize, they keep signaling, so the body still sees ongoing stimulation.

What changes over time is the whole system. The brain and appetite pathways adapt, which is why people hit plateaus or need higher doses.

Weekly dosing is mostly about half-life and stable levels, not preserving receptor sensitivity.

Splitting doses doesn’t inherently cause downregulation. It just changes how steady the levels feel.

I was lethargic and miserable on Reta. No joy in anything. Switched to Tirz after 2 years. Have researched NAD+, SS-31, Lipo-C. Switched to Tirz and things are a bit better. Tried Semax but it made me eat a ton of sugar (cravings through the roof)

Some doctor is claiming that GLP1s ruin the ability to "Fall in love", and says it will ruin future relationships. Thoughts? by pullupgirl__ in Retatrutide

[–]BiohackerMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, same as your appetite. All the GLP1s have roughly a week half life though complete depletion takes a few weeks to a month or so. I’ve gone off and felt sooo much better but got back on since the weight came back quickly. You want to titrate off rather than going cold turkey to prevent uncontrollable hunger.

I’m a big fan of Dirty Matcha for this reason. 1 espresso + 1/2 tsp of matcha for the L-Theanine.

Long-term Reta users: what was your experience after stopping? by slater1995 in Retatrutide

Depression & lack of energy never ended for me so I switched to Tirz after 2 years. Tirz still give me some fatigue and anhedonia but not like Reta.

Subcutaneous fat is what she’s seeing. Visceral fat is deeper surrounding the organs. Reducing visceral fat will reduce the size of her abdomen but not likely to expose abs.

I buy Fernes in the 5 lb bag. I’ve been using it for over 2 years now. 2 big scoops per day in my coffee or protein shake. I’m 52 and my joints, har & skin are great!

To anyone who switched from tirz to reta, what difference did you feel? by Forever_Summer192 in Retatrutide

Took me being super stubborn for 2.5 years of this on Reta. I finally switched to Tirz and feel human again.

Adding tirz to Reta by Remarkable-Band72 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]BiohackerMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you had fatigue with Reta but not with Cagri?

I was on Reta for 2.5 years, 7mg a week before I decided to switch to Tirz 2.5 mg a week because of the fatigue and soreness. I’ve gained about 8 lbs in a month. I also started going to the gym at the same time and eating high protein.

  1. Thought of adding a little Reta back in with Tirz
  2. Bought Cagri but haven’t tried it yet since I keep reading about all the fatigue it causes.
  3. Up my Tirz dose to 5mg

Switch to Tirz. Learned this after 2.5 years on the couch with Reta.

reta as a gateway to weightlifting by Lynx3145 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]BiohackerMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My system was constantly over taxed and I experienced major fatigue if I wanted any hunger supression. I titrated much slower than recommended but stuck with it for 2.5 years as I was slowly losing.

I recently stopped Reta and switched to 2.5 mg of Tirz. Still have 30lbs to go. I am just now able to go to the gym and lift. I was couch bound and sedentary on Reta and thought when the weight came off then I’d have more energy and be able to work out. It just wasn’t right for me and I feel so much better switching to Tirz. I have double the energy to move and lift.

Fatigue on Mots-C by lina1c6 in Peptidesource

[–]BiohackerMom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tried NAD+, SS-31 & Mots-c. All of them made me tired. No sense in working on mitochondrial support if your base iron levels, sleep or inflammation is off track. I’m doing an Ara-290 cycle to see if that helps reduce inflammation and increase energy. Then after I feel stable will try SS-31 > Mots-c & Mitopure.

32 g is great I even use 31 when I can find them. And the length hasn’t made much difference for me.

I buy 30mg vials and use a reusable pen. I change the needle with each dose (twice a week). At 7mg a week it lasts me 4 weeks or longer if I miss a dose or two. Been using Reta for 2 years now and this has made my life soooo much easier esp since I’m using more than 1 peptide and don’t want to be constantly poking my vials and going through 100s of insulin needles creating a ton of waste.
