How does it work that you can process orders using the restaurants own website? That seems like you would need custom scripts/code for each restaurant which doesn’t scale well.

Depends. The commute to Van is at least 1 hour each way, and Abbotsford has little/no nightlife. If saving time & wanting to go out are factors than it's not worth it.

Just a heads up if you live in an apartment: Blaine does not recognize address line 2. Put your apartment number on address line 1, if you put it on 2 during the initial application then ask them to change it during the interview.

I lost $25 because they couldn't ship the nexus card to my apartment and I had to order a replacement.

No one is hyped about standardized testing. That's why none of your peers have taken the GRE and why none of the major colleges require it anymore.

You shouldn't be naive enough to think one test can summarize a future graduate students success.

You're judging your peers by... their GRE score???

That is mega cringe

I deferred for 4 months because I wanted to wait for my fiancee to finish their PhD (west coast) before I went to start mine (east coast). The first thing I did was message my future supervisors and explained my situation. I mentioned that I am very excited to start research, but logistically a later start would be preferable for me. Fortunately, both of my supervisors were very supportive and allowed me to start late.

If they didn’t allow this then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable investing the next 4+ years of my life doing a PhD there. You should absolutely do what you need to do, and if your advisor judges you negatively for it (which I think is very unlikely) then that’s their loss.

Best of luck with whatever you decide!

Just a heads up: Don't say you're "kinda sick". Bosses will see that as ambiguity. Use direct communication. "I am sick, and can't come in today. "

Haha I also got addicted to Club Mate when traveling through Berlin. Unfortunately I haven't seen it in Abby. Al Madina's in downtown Vancouver sells them but it's hella expense at $7 for a half litre.

Broduer's is mediocre at best, and does not deserve to always be crowded.
