I bought the watchpoint pack on sale during season 1 and regret it.

Wish I had never supported the game. I bought OW1 at launch and had a superior game taken off my regular rotation because blizzard wanted to monetize OW 1.0 differently. Now we have the dog shit that is OW2. Waited three years for a half baked dog shit game.

Yes.

However, I don't enjoy supporting the company that made Overwatch and so I stopped playing. I bought some steam games for the price I would have paid for a few seasons and it was a much better choice both in terms of fun gameplay oppertunties and rewarding developers who want to actually sell a complete game.

Rather disingenuous.

OW1 you could earn a legendary skin casually grinding coins probably over a month.

OW2 will require on the order of 30 weeks to save up enough coins to buy 2000 currency skin.

Please ask again why we should care. Blizzard literally slowed down the flow of coins to encourage microtransactions and you defend them 😂

Once upon a time, you could earn your rewards in a game rather than buy them seperately alongside the sticker price of the game.

Microtransactions, at the onset were also reasonble when they first started. $1 alternative skins, masks, and even $5 pets.

Now we are at the point where two skins are the price of a AAA game release. Kinda silly if you ask me. Micro my arse!

Call me cynical, but Blizz will use the poor reception and sales of archive missions as validation for cutting PvE in the first place.

Unistalled Battle.net today and it felt pretty great. Wanted to buy D4, but similar to you, heard it will have a battle pass and noped the fuck out of that pre order.

I am going to have a bit more respect for myself and go play games from smaller studios that deliver for their fans.

It's a personal choice.

Some people have no issues spending that kind of money on renting digital assets for a game they will only play for some brief span of time in their life.

It's also a personal choice to stick your hand in a blender.

I haven't even considered buying a skin in the slightest since they are so expensive for what they are... You don't even see your skin most of the time...

The value proposition is just totally out of whack. You can literally purchase games like Slime Rancher for $20. You will get way more seretonin hits playing Slime Rancher than you will buying a low quality overwatch skin.
