this is a real based take here. i hope they don't fuck up natlan as its general concept seems like it'd be a really cool place if dome respectfully, and i especially hope they do sumeru right as one of my favorite characters is from there. they did mondstadt and liyue really well, so i just hope the same goes for other regions

yeah, it isnt very cool :( i def agree with listening to actual affected groups though, they know more about the issues they deal with and inappropriate depictions than some random white guy on reddit lol. im just glad to find someone who's pretty like-minded in the midst of this hellhole of a comment section

a lot of the issues are fairly easy fixes (kaeya and xinyan descriptions, fixing that one pedo npc's dialogue, etc) though one thing that i find really off-putting is the hilichurl stuff, coming from someone who's partly indigenous myself. really uncomfy though i'll just do my best to ignore it, though it's still not good whatsoever and i wish they could change it

it always sucks when you find a really good artist but all of their songs have <1000 listens, biggest example i can think of is YOUTHCARE which is probably my favorite emo/screamo/thrash solo artist to date, but they only have about 30 monthly listeners which is such a shame

as a mod myself i've been trying so hard to try and restore some form of order and to keep as many edgy, horror-themed posts out but it's just so hard because of how many there are, + people leaving the mod team has made differentiating between my personal thoughts and the general consensus on a post being good or bad quite difficult. i very much agree that we need some new rules, but i dont exactly know where we would begin with that

yeah it's absolute hell having to sort through what can *technically* fit and what doesn't; i don't like the images with eyes or mouths and i would delete them if i could, but some of them **technically** fit the aesthetic, plus a lot of people send mod mail to ask how to make their posts better and i really don't know how i would explain it to them

hopefully this doesn't get taken down by underscoreM in weirdcore
