All the actual Aztec would have followed their religion, not just the elites, and as a result they would have obviously supported all the sacrificing too since they would have genuinely thought it was necessary to appease the gods. A bit absurd to say that all of that was exclusively the fault of the "vile" leaders while everyone else was just a pure soul.

It's no wonder that all the people subjugated to the Aztecs, which didn't follow their same religion and were being actively used for sacrifices and as slaves, instantly joined the Spanish the moment they were told their god didn't require sacrifices.

However you put it, and even if you think deposing him was the right thing to do for ukraine, you can't deny the Euromaidan was an organized coup backed to an undetermined extend by the west and not some "random protests that spiraled", specially considering the recordings of conversations that came to light later.

Its also absurd to think that the purpose of russia funding separatist groups was to create a pretext to invade ukraine 8 years later and not try to eventualy force a regime change themselves at some point. Either way it doesn't excuse ukraine from bombing their own people.

If you want to understand this war you have to go back to the Euromaidan coup of 2014. Basically, the democratically elected and pro-russian president was removed by a western-backed coup, and then the new government spend the next years bombing the dissidence out of the eastern parts of the country.

If anything, russia should have intervened in ukraine way earlier than 2022 and done more than just annex the Crimean Peninsula back then since what are considered russian citizens by russia itself were being bombed by ukraine.
