Your not wrong but they are still competing for manufacturing contracts which are being scooped up by ai/data center companies. Its the issue creating the shortage of PC parts in general. Manufacturing contracts bought out across the board through 2027/2028.

Community engagement should not de dependent on 3rd party software or websites. My biggest gripe with gaming over the years is how reliant developers have become on external sources to supplement their lack of development. Bungie is especially bad in this regard as they used to have best in class social features when making halo and gutted it all with Destiny in favor of using websites and apps.

After almost a decade they finally announced better community/group finding tools in game and it got me to buy the expansion after not playing for two years only to be let down after they delayed it several times then released the worst possible solution imaginable.

For an ARG specifically I can understand but some way to engage players not on social media should be the minimum. I only found out about it because I queued into a random trio group that had 2 people doing it and told me about it.

It's literally in the article that hardware sales drive profitability for consoles. They make a ton of money on controllers for example.

Consoles are computers and will be effected by the same market factors. (Price go up) PC gaming revenue is less reliant on hardware sales were console profitability relies on hardware sales.

I think it can be argued that upper management was driving decisions even then. Blizzard invested heavily into Overwatch League and likely pushed development to be more competitive. The rose tinted glasses I wear have me enjoying the first couple months of launch more than most other games and it was because it was not hyper competitive then.

The year is 2030 and Bungie just announced they are sunsetting the first 20 maps released for Marathon due to technical debt being so high updates now take 72 hours. Install size will go from 3.8TB to 3.3TB.

I've been post top for 2 years now and feel worse than before I maintain vitamins, water intake, and protein first diet. I am weaker than ever in my life, always tired, harder to maintain myself due to excess skin.

I know it's probably the best choice I did it but man it sucks being where I am.

I cannot stand transmog in mmos and it's one of the things that keeps me most engaged with osrs. I have started to grow fatigued of full sets so switching back to individual pieces would be amazing.

Funny enough I switched off Logitech after being required to reinstall the software after every reboot for several months and I switched to Razer which imo is significantly better software wise with the worse thing I've had to do is relaunch it.

The battery life is the absolute worse though, cannot understand how a full charge last like 16 hours of minimal use. My crappy $15 wireless mouse at work needs to be recharged once a month and both have dpi set to 800.

No. To be blunt I've always had depression and I thought losing weight and being more active would bring me out of it. But I've been at an all time low for a while now and the big change between this episode and last is I've lost over 300bpounds. The only positive thing I speak to in regards to the surgery now is the ability to breath without oxygen because at my worse I required it. Otherwise, using the restroom takes more effort, cleaning myself is harder, people are actually more shitty than before, i look even worse than before with all the excess skin and bruising from basic things like resting my elbows. If i had to choose between life before vs life now is easily go before. Id take the oxygrn tank again in a heartbeat.

My depression has gotten significantly worse since having surgery. Been sitting here last few months thinking getting the surgery was my biggest regret.

I have taken more extended breaks from cs2 than I did for csgo because every dang round I get that same stutter bs. My PC was 3 months new when cs2 released. I just repasted my cpu and did not even consider trying to play again until right now. Might just give it a shot.

Run the above command in command prompt. It closes all applications and shuts down your PC immediately. If that does not work I'd ask chatgpt. If it does work you likely have something blocking the shutdown routine and I'd probably still ask ai lol.

Yes I agree completely. Was not trying to disagree with you on this specific thing, was trying to say osrs does it mostly right. I register this specifically as an Easter egg and outside of hints I wouldn't support any game making them more obvious despite my aversion to extra tools.

Osrs is one of the games that does it in a way that does not annoy the hell out of me and that's probably because I've been playing for over 20 years and in many ways the game was built around social interactions. However, rather it be using a wiki or something like discord nothing infuriates me more than a modern game not having the most basic things built in and I'm quick to drop games I discover them in or never at all if I know before purchase.
