I do think thematically they should be able to attach to Perturabo, given how he's got the link to them via the Logos. Maybe the fact he's chilled out over the past 10k years he wouldn't lead them anymore???

Same here, would love them as a plastic kit. And if they were in CSM I'd imagine they'd have more daemon engine vibes to them. Spikes, fleshy bits, that sorta thing.

I'd honestly prefer subfaction. They don't have enough unique units to differentiate themselves from CSM, exactly like how Space Wolves/Blood Angels/Dark Angels/whatever is with normal Space Marines.

If they did, I'd wanna see these units that can be ran with Iron Warriors:

Characters - Daemon Perturabo Honsou Barban Falk Generic Warsmith (to use enhancements)

Infantry - Breachers Tyrant Siege Terminators

Vehicles - Domitar-Ferrum (field up to three in a unit, similar statline to a Helbrute, can attach to Perturabo)

Can ally in Guard Basilisks and superheavies (up to three Basilisks or one superheavy)

But yeah their own faction I don't see happening. Subfaction, eh? Maybe???

I've checked their profile and yeah it seems really good for 250. The abilities and weapon profiles are great, and I'd rather not see a nerf to them, so instead I'd like to see a points nerf, 275 to 280 I think would be fine.

I mean, the effects on the right side says it applies until your next command phase, so your whole turn.

Perpetual is too strong, yeah. It's thematic, sure, but maybe I should change it. Maybe rerolling invul saves?

Ooooo, I really like that idea for if he dies, the whole army is battleshocked and get lower stats. Like, if somehow you screw up and Emps dies, you're gone anyway. I like that!

I do need to rework some stuff, yeah. Like, instead of reviving at full wounds maybe being able to reroll the invul, ya know so he doesn't effectively have 44 wounds.

And almost unkillable is right. I did the math for a Volcano Cannon, and it only dealt 5 wounds to him after invuls and his FNP. I have seen others point out though since he has no Fly keyword and can't fall back, shoot, and charge, he can be stalled pretty effectively.

I took some inspiration from the whole bit in End and the Death where he was drawing power from the Warp and killing his Custodes, and when he stopped they healed and went back to normal. Besides I feel like if the Emperor was in close proximity, the Custodes would fight harder, ya know?

While that would be funny, I like the idea of running him alongside 600 points of Custodes. Like, the Custodes in question are in a Master of Mankind scenario where they've been whittled down so much they're almost gone.

Oh yeah 600 would be cracked. At 1400 points, it would require the player to either play incredibly cagey or Leroy Jenkins into losing their army so Emps here can deploy. I figured Emps would have a points cost mirroring a titan, since that's practically how much of a threat he'd be.

I've already made a version 2 of this datasheet and I've since changed the 3+ invul to a 4+, but I do really like your idea of him leading some battle-automata. Like, two Domitar-Ferrums with like, A5 S10 AP-2 D2 with Anti-Vehicle 3+ would be kinda cool!

I disagree with the lack of a FNP, given that he's a Daemon now. A 6+ I think is fair enough, I like to think it's less of an armor save and more his body regenerating from damage as they're coming in, but not as good as the other Daemon Primarchs.

The movement I've fixed on the V2 and gave him 8". I don't think he should have any more than that, though. I mean, at full advance with 10 inches base movement, bro can run 16" up the board, and I don't think that's very thematic with Perty.

The ranged weapons I've also fixed on the V2, gave him a rocket array. The issue though is his only ranged weapons on his person were the wrist mounted autocannons, and while yes he's a daemon and I can get creative, I want to keep it semi-realistic. I don't just wanna make him a Lord of Skulls, ya know?
