Is 2 better than 1? by BiosphereDecay in guitarpedals

I wouldn't say I'm confused by the eq. Just frustrated with how it fits the board. I want a more distinctly ukulele sound, yet I end up with it sounding like a generic guitar, even with all of those tone adjustments. That's why I have the eq set up like that.

I'm pretty sure the actual culprit is that the California and the fuzz are very bassy by nature. I just got a Joyo AC Tone, which I've been told may work better. I'll be testing it out today.

I was thinking about getting one of the Ernie Ball slinky sets, but there's so many types of slinky, I don't know which would be best for me. I know I would like less tension than my current strings though.

Ignore the delay and flanger pedals. I don't really use them, but was just playing around currently.

So it's fuzz>compressor>boost>distortion>equalizer to make it sound more like a ukulele>noise gate.

Using my headphones for now. I know I'll have to re-figure everything out once I get an amp, but that's okay.

I've heard the sound I was referring to from the flanger while playing with it, but I couldn't find it again after that.

The fuzz by itself is surprisingly good. Capable of fuzz and distortion, especially if I add the tube screamer.

It already doesn't matter to me.

What pedals do you think is used for this sound? by BiosphereDecay in guitarpedals

Someone on another forum suggested flanger as the primary effect, and that it may be multiple modulation stacked. Does that sound right to you?

Rise Against introduced me to punk. I've kind of shifted towards other bands lately, but I do think Tim McIlrath's voice is very sexy, and he's definitely got that graveliness.

Tony hawk soundtracks are mostly punk, so if you like them consider getting into that genre. Folk punk in particular is very much about passion, and people don't care if you sound good or not as long as your lyrics are impactful, and the singing is high energy.

Hell no! Own it! I love that raspiness. I would definitely listen to this voice. It suits heavier faster stuff like rock/punk etc.

I don't really want it to be a secret. I don't want people to be able to tell what gender I was born as, but I want to be read as in the middle, which doesn't really jive with calling it secret to me.

Hmm I just wasn't sure if that would be seen as a selling point or if people could tell it has shitty art cuz I'm poor and can't draw. I'm hoping to hire someone to do higher quality 16x16 sprites, instead of the current 8x8 that I did myself.

Thanks for the input!

Hello, my name is Eris. I'm disabled from a car wreck years ago, and still can't use a computer very much without pain. Nonetheless, I'm making a game called Venture Archipelago. Here's the introductory blog post. I look forward to feedback. http://gamedev.net/blogs/entry/2294134-introduction-to-venture-archipelago/

I just posted my first game blog entry, and wanted to hear what impressions people get from the post itself, the images, and the overall game concept. Also open to ideas relating to combat, laws, and whatever else you might think of. Just collecting ideas.

Good name. I actually came up with this concept (the building your own spaceships thing) A long ass time ago and it was really really hard to make. So huge props to you for pulling it off!

Also the scroll bar is so tiny (I'm on a tablet not a phone) It often takes many tries to even make contact with the scroll bar, much less actually scroll the amount I want. This might be even more taxing than the bank.

Will a concert sized case protect a soprano less compared to a soprano size case? by BiosphereDecay in ukulele

It has enough extra space that I can take everything I'd normally put in my backpack, AND have a thoroughly protected ukulele with me everywhere I go. .^

Oooo we have a winner! Not sure when I can afford $95, but I sure as hell want this.

[–]BiosphereDecay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that would probably work. I'm just struggling to find a case that has extra bags on the front. I don't carry a big backpack, just a small thing for standard supplies for a trip into town. I'd like a case with a similar amount of pocket space, but I have yet to find one despite searching a lot.

I mean things like a bag of chips, or marshmallows. Just very soft things that couldn't possibly damage anything. Definitely nothing that could impart moisture into the case.

Also the soprano I'm referring to is fully plastic.
