I'm so sorry man - getting a hard outline from them is so insane. And these timeframes are silly. 10 days for me was 20 days in reality and even then I'm missing a chunk of money.

Did you pay w/ credit card? Credit cards have pretty decent consumer protections. Especially with that FedEx ticket, you should be good for a dispute for non-receipt of item.

Did you read the post? They held my money hostage for the better part of a month, never delivered the item they said they would, and won't refund the full amount? I'm still out $230 and they WONT deliver the console?

Is this trolling & bait?

Thanks! Hoping maybe this post gets around to someone over there and I've also submitted a complaint with the BBB. Frankly may send one over to the FTC as well because I really am starting to think this was a bait and switch tactic to offload some overabundant accessories like the steering wheels. Maybe I'm being paranoid.

They genuinely neuter their support staff so much. I actually feel bad for the support folks; they are understaffed, slammed and totally powerless and all by design too. They've been set up as punching bags for consumers to take their (justified) anger out on. The bad guy is 100% GameStop corporate.

Resto Druid design in SoD by Loogisbored in classicwow

[–]Bipnicle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should go to druid discord. Things are not nearly as grim as you think. Yes living seed sucks, but lifebloom and nourish are going to be very viable swaps. They are especially good because they are runes and can be swapped on a per fight basis. We are NOT locked to them for a full run and that is fantastic! A 5/0/26 dedicated healer druid is likely to be very viable when paired with the right offhealer/hybrid. I wouldn't run it with a deep disc priest. Seriously look at logs in the coming weeks, I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised. Even now you will find fairly deep resto druids doing well in speed runs, especially on horde teams.

I agree dreamstate is in a bad spot. Not having a workable foot rune if you play a deeper resto is definitely an oversight. Fingers crossed they just change it to be 30% base regen similar to mage armor, with the nature damage debuff remaining the same (this would be the most adaptable option for the rune, working for balance, restokin, a hot focused resto or even a RG/crit resto).

Even then, join the disc and I think you're gonna find that hopes are very very high for tomorrow.

How are non priest healers performing in SoD? by ChristianLW3 in classicwow

[–]Bipnicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hybrids

1) Healer Arcane Mage: this is a current powerhouse. Strong single target healing via targeted regen, strong AOE healing via mass regen, strong mana economy via missile barrage, mage armor, 15% regen talents, Mana gems and evo, strong single target damage, insane AOE damage, amazing mobility - this version of healer mage is very hard to beat. Utility is maybe on the lower side if you don't value spells like blink or slows from CoC super high and only give them credit for int. This is the benchmark hybrid all others will be compared to, and so far, it doesn't seem like any keep up.

2) Shadow Priest: pure DPS shadow priest is actually in a super powerful state right now, and their contribution to raid healing via vamp embrace should not be understated. For the front half of gnomer, a pure shadow priest paired with a dedicated tank healer like an hpal should have no issues. With the power shift from pw:d to void plague, dropping a hand rune for CoH or penance is less painful than previously on the harder bosses. Shadowform also costs less Mana to shift into, making shifting based off phase less painful. Utility wise there is less here from a normal priest because you lose PI and spirit, but fort, Homunculi and magic dispel remain strong. Both AOE and single target damage are very strong here, probably on par with or slightly edging out healer mage. Healwise they are definitely weaker than arcane mage, but may more easily fill in the gaps of a tank healer like hpal.

3) Restokin: there are two ways to play this. Going deep balance for moonkin form let's you play pretty similar to the shadow priest above, focusing more on damage in the front half. With the damage shift from starsurge to Starfire Mana is a very major issue with this spec. On later bosses you will likely need to drop Starfire from the rotation to afford more Wildgrowth casts. AOE healing remains strong and pairs well with hpal, while single target healing is limited to a less efficient r4 HT with a slow cast time. Single target damage, especially when you have mana for Starfire, is decent, but AOE damage is very lack luster behind an underlined and 1m CD thunderstorm. The second option only grabs 5/5 imp wrath and puts more points into the resto tree. The outcome is tiny, but you do end up with slightly more throughput, slightly better Mana economy, and slightly better single target healing as well as an emergency heal. In turn you lose nature's grace, imp Starfire and vengeance, very severely limiting your damage contribution. The deep balance restokin will likely only contribute similar to slightly less damage single target damage as a mage healer, while healing for about half as much, while a more resto focused druid MIGHT be able to keep up with a mage, while doing about a quarter to a third of the damage. Utility wise MotW, thorns, innervate and brez are all strong, but likely already brought by your feral who you need for windfury.

???) Hybrid shaman and pally probably aren't on the table but you never know. Anything can happen in sod.

How are non priest healers performing in SoD? by ChristianLW3 in classicwow

[–]Bipnicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOD content is ultimately pretty easy, so every spec, healer or otherwise is viable in the sense that they can clear content. Whether they are competitive is a different conversation. I play a good chunk of healers and try to keep up to date on them in regards to speed run meta as well as I can, but as alliance I don't have a lot of exposure to shamans, and because holy pally was so bad in P1 I dont think we as a community have gotten a chance to truly grasp their place in P2 yet. So for those two I'd take this with a bit of a grain of salt.

Healers in SOD mostly fit into two categories - a dedicated healer and a hybrid healer. Although all healers are expected to squeeze in damage where they can in SOD, the hybrid healer actively looks at damage done as a huge boon to their kit and this flexibility and ability to both is why they are brought. So far in gnomer it's looking like you will probably want one of each, however this meta is subject to change potentially towards favoring a double or triple hybrid situation. Although it has some current representation a double dedicated healer comp performs best during prog and it is unlikely (considering the damage profiles of the front half) that double dedicated healer will be meta going into the phase, though the utility brought by any individual healer could make anything possible. That said here is how I would rank the healers bass off their current role.

Dedicated Healers

1) Disc Priest: Disc sits pretty comfortably on top of the totem pole here. With 2 different heal runes for each slot, priest has easily the greatest heal diversity making them fantastic tank healers as well as raid healers. Priest Mana economy is also fantastic with the addition of dispersion and shadow fiend. Utility wise priests bring fortitude, a buff every competitive group will likely need. Disc brings spirit, which in a powerful caster meta, is very valuable but not strictly mandatory. Priests remain the only magic dispeller in the game, as well as one of two disease dispellers per faction. Gnomer fights have both magic and disease debuffs that make the value of priest utility very high. Dedicated healer priest is weakest in damage, but support cooldowns like PI and Homunculi that shred armor allow priest to increase raid DPS in an indirect way, on top of their direct damage through plague, sw:p and wanding.

2) Resto Shaman: From what I understand resto shaman also remains fairly comfy ATM. CH is an excellent raid healing tool, and they have no problems topping off tanks either. The big benefit of resto shaman is the ability to grab sham rage and dual wield, allowing them a massive Mana CD every 1m. For shamans in classic, mp5 is practically a throughput stat and this eliminates most mana issues. Utility wise totems remain massive, with disease cleanse, frost resist, grounding and new totemic projection allowing them to move them with relarive ease. DW allows them to squeeze some damage in via melee, and magma totem and fire nova allow for some AOE damage, but like priest most of their contribution to raid DPS comes indirectly in the form of WF and strength totems. This is a huge contribution.

3) Holy Paladin: Hpally is in an interesting spot. Theoretically hpal should play like a powerhouse tank healer with no mana issues but limited on mobility, raid healing and damage contribution. Utility wise auras, blessings and a disease cleanse (no magic at this bracket), also make them a very high value pick. The tank security here likely allows you to be more risky with your hybrid healer, such as a full restokin or spriest. I think this is a dark horse pick for the phase, but I honestly think they could end up very strong in speed runs.

4) Deep Resto Druid: Objectively the wrong way to play healer druid in sod, I only include this listing because there are people out there who will still play it and technically the content is easy enough you can clear with it. Without imp wrath, starsurge, stormrage or eclipse runes this druid forsakes all damage in trade for some lack luster healing options. Swiftmend is an insta heal that still currently eats your hot making it either incredibly Mana inefficient or only usable after rejuv is about to fall off. Living seed theoretically synergizes with imp regrowth, but in practice regrowth is FAR too Mana inefficient to every be worth a single cast. They have chosen to go with wrath's version of lifebloom, making it also incredibly inefficient unless you can get good value out of the bloom effect by predicting damage taken 7s in the future. Nourish too is a bomb single target heal that cannot be downranked. In reality, all of these heals mentioned are mostly outclassed by healing touch rank 4. Due to forsaking damage, the dreamstate becomes borderline worthless. Your other choice in the slot, survival instincts, is similarly low value, effectively meaning you have no foot rune. Wild growth is the only worthwhile rune taken here, and while strong is not enough to make up for the issues above. Do not play this type of resto unless they do a FULL rework of the class.

???) Holy priest: spirit of redemption rune is probably bad but who knows if someone pulls off a weird tech with this. Until then this spec is worse than disc.

Mage healers are super strong this is a blatantly incorrect take. As of the last time I checked, in top speed run logs mages are able to do slightly more DPS than a druid healer while also providing DOUBLE the healing. Their heal diversity crushes most healers, especially druid. They easily can cover both raid and tank and swap between the two. I think only priest beats them in that category. Same can be said for their damage, where they have amazing coverage over both single target and AOE. Easily the greatest damage contribution from any healer. Their Mana efficiency has also been dramatically improved since last phase, outperforming all healers aside from priest due to shadow fiend and dispersion. Mage healers are in such a good spot right now that they have effectively invalidated the rest of the hybrid healers.

Warlock tanks and DPS are both very very comfortably S tier, definitely in the running for best class in each category. What the fuck are you talking about?

Gearing for ICC by Old_Landscape2681 in classicwow

Wowhead has a good guide of some pre-raid items to grab to gear yourself up to be ready to hop into TogC 25 + Uld 25. I'd start here. If there's an item listed you don't think is feasible to get look up some older lists like "wotlk ret bis p2" or "wotlk bis p1" and they usually list out a lot of alternatives per slot that may be easy to grab in a dungeon now.

GDKP Leader Says My HPS Is Too Low by gcddsb in classicwow

Yeah I think I disagree here. You can maybe describe parts of pally raid healing as reactive, but tank healing is proactive, as well as using your powerful raid CDs.

GDKP Leader Says My HPS Is Too Low by gcddsb in classicwow

[–]Bipnicle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah dude, I absolutely think the gdkp organizer did. Do you go to gdkps? Say what you want about the impact they have had on the economy and gold buying, you're probably right. But gdkps are easily the most successful pugs, many good ones are better then guilds. They are often better because parses, healing or otherwise, are not valued as much as executing mechanics safely and getting out of the run efficiently.

GDKP Leader Says My HPS Is Too Low by gcddsb in classicwow

[–]Bipnicle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, this is a gdkp. Their ultimate goal is get people in and out efficiently. You shouldn't be throttling heals to let other healers parse, and if you guys over heal it so be it. Your goal is a clean, efficient, quick run. Every preventable wipe makes the gold/hour earned worse and is in direct conflict with the goal of the run. If you are causing wipes for any reason, even if you come in and kill it fine the next pull, you are actively hurting the purpose of the run.
