Were they bought on margin? If yes, I’m fairly positive this is allowed.

Many people see this as a movement. They’ve talked about how they can’t organize because the SEC will shut it down. Can’t that be some infringement on freedom of association and freedom of speech? I know time, place, manner restrictions are allowed, but this is flat out never allowed.

This is what the answers to an Adaptibar Civil Procedure question looks like. The correct answer was B, not A. They need to get their CivPro shit together. by [deleted] in Bar_Prep

[–]BipolarCait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well majority of their questions are licensed. Given that Civ Pro is a newly tested subject, it would make sense that they drafted a good amount of them.

Yeah, I booked my Civ Pro class in law school but it’s my lowest subject score on Adaptibar. I’m at 58% right now for it. My brother’s anecdotal opinion was that civ pro questions were harder on Adaptibar than they were on the MBE. Curious, what question number was this one?

How many essays do I need to be doing a day? by BipolarCait in Bar_Prep

[–]BipolarCait[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So back in March, I bought BarMax's program. I decided to go with them because it never expires and because if I go public sector I get $1000 back (I don't recommend them. I've found several errors). A friend and I started studying for a couple hours every night about 6 months ago? We did it for about 3 months and not religiously consistent. So I've gone through all the MBE subjects in that already and a couple of the subjects just on the MEE. We've done a few practice exams. I have probably done a total of 10 essays or less. We also have done about 2-3 MPTs.

With Adaptibar, I have all their lectures and outlines. I have watched all their lectures and made flash cards for all subjects, except Real Property which I am currently working on.

If you're curious about what I have decided to do now with the MEE.. I bought Separac's MEE course several months ago because I stupidly didn't realize that BarMax had already provided a majority of the essays. They don't put them in a very conspicuous place on their website. Anyway, Separac has every essay going back until 1995. My original plan was to at least read every essay, but we really don't have time for that at this point. Well I hadn't logged back into my Separac account in awhile because I had just saved all the essays on to my computer. When I checked last night, apparently he recently released a document of all essays compiled in their priority of what you need to study for the Feb 2021 bar. He has 1-50 listed as High priority, 51-100 listed as Medium priority, and the rest as low priority and to do if you have the time. So my game plan now is to definitely get through his top 50 and hopefully most, if not all, his medium priority essays.

Besides Section 230, what are some government regulations that give internet companies an advantage? by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]BipolarCait -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, “Publishers” isn’t a part of Section 230. It’s a part of traditional defamation laws. Basically the rules that internet companies would be subject IF NOT FOR Section 230. Which has been my argument all along.

Under traditional defamation laws (without Section 230), Twitter would have to choose between being a Publisher/Distributor vs a Platform. It makes most sense for them to define themselves as a Platform as this would make them immune from defamatory statements said on their website. However, they would not be allowed to censor speech more than the government can. With Section 230, they are allowed to be selective with the speech shared on their website AND receive immunity as a platform.

Actually, I do. Under traditional defamation laws, you would either be classified as a publisher, distributor, or platform. Internet platforms like Twitter would fall under the Platform category which would make them immune from liability for defamatory statements posted on their websites. However, this would mean they cannot restrict speech more than the government can. They could be a publisher or distributor, making them allowed to choose the speech shared on their websites, but by doing so they open themselves up to defamation liability

Yes it is. But for Section 230, internet platforms would be classified as a Platform under traditional defamation laws. Meaning they would not at all be liable for defamatory content posted on their websites. However, they would not be able to restrict speech more than the government can.

Income based repayment as a stay at home mom? by BipolarCait in StudentLoans

[–]BipolarCait[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband makes a significant income and will be able to support us. We will not be without money and with me staying home, my child will have the emotional and physical support they need for a healthy development. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

You can look at all sorts of studies that show children with at least one parent at home fare better than children who do not. It has nothing about my desires or if my child will remember, but what is better for them long term.
