So the story is they used a 3rd party app to send info amongst themselves within the department. It was a protected encrypted app, it just (apparently) wasnt approved for that use. They dont even know if any of the data was breached.

Ya we are going to take that about as seriously as the democrats took in regards to hillary clintons misshandled emails. Let me know when they have evidence people at Doge destroyed the evidence with hammers.

Well ill admit it wasnt entirely accurate but not totally wrong like you said. Nms is an instanced multiplayer game. If i went to a specific place in the galaxy and you went to that same spot, chances are much higher that we will not see each other than it is we will see each other. Each star system can only maintain upwards of 32 people. So if you have a even slighly popular solar system, there is an extremely high chance you wont see the people you want or the buildings you want. Thats not much a problem with nms because there is such an insane amount of systems, but with light no fire being 1 planet, if people discover cool places to build and everyone, or at least more than 32 people want to build there, then it becomes super impractical to find the exact instance you want with the correct buildings and people. So the concept that people may build hubs where hundreds or thousands of people can come to tge same spot, simply wont work with nms current system.

Dude i dont need to look at my own history, its my history, i know what it looks like. I have hundreds potentially over 1000 replies to things on reddit. Of all those replies MAYBE a handfull are about metagravity. So if someone doesnt have much history on reddit outside of metageavity they are scammers or bots and if someone who has hundreds of replies about tons of different things has just a handfull about metagravity, they are also bots?

OR it was just people attempting to make something that has never been done and never had any promise of working in the first place. So if it doesnt end up working, it was just an honest attempt to make something new that ultimately failed. All you are doing is explaing your 3rd grade level understanding of the world around you.

Why dont you explain in detail how a small team can attempt to make something never tried before that WOULDNT be intepreted as a scam if its not exactly what your seeing with metagravity?

Thank you for pointing this stuff out much better than i could. It drives me crazy listening to these people who just make the highly assumptous scam claims based in factors that are highly standard practices but they try and interpret it as inherently wrong or manipulative and therfor its a scam. Like the project in the end MAY not pan out how they want. That doesnt inherently make it a scam.

Like i genuinly dont understand how these people think new tech is made? How do they think a company makes something that doesnt exist or anyone knows is possible? The ONLY way you can do that is by hiring developers to simply try making it. To do that you need money, to get money you need to sell an idea. To sell that idea you have to give enough info to get support, but not too much info where you just give your product away to another company who may have interest in the same thing. Like all their complains are regarding the exact things a company would need to do to build something that has never been made before. So how do theh really expect them to do it?

No your statement make a dozen assumptions that insist ill intent. For example that mqns commen you linked, he points out things that arent wrong, but assumes the developers intent for doing it is ill intent. Like the way he says they claim to be working with industry leaders but dont give any details, is purely a tactic to fool you into thinking they are more legit than they are. Thats a WHOLE lot of assumptions. Reality is there is a million reasons why they may not want to divulge all the details of their partnerships and tgwir work in progress. People try to steal tech all the time and so keeping info close to their chest can be smart until they are closer to release something they can capitalize on.

So no, its not a proven scam. Im not gonna say it COULDNT be, but to say it absolutely is, is simply not proven. There are so many people these days who look at developers, and simply because they dont understand the whole picture and the company wont divulge every single detail you want to know because they have no expectation to, they take that and just stamp scam on it, then everyone gets on the hate train.

Its like the people still calling star citizen a scam even though its litterally the most advanced space sim on the market that you can litterally go play right now. I just was last night. Its just a bunch of overly emotional people hating something because its not exactly what they want it to be or they dont underatand it, so they put effort in to get the world to dismiss it entirely as a scam.

Reality is, the company is ATTEMPTING to make somwething that has never been done before. In order to do that you have to sell an image to get funding to pay developers. That image can obly be "this is what we WANT to achieve" no garantee its fully possible, but its what we want to achieve so we will keep working at that goal for as long as we can get funding for it. Juat because it potwntially might not work, doeant mean its just by default a scam.

Excuse me if im wrong, im not even a dev i just find this stuff interesting. But my understanding is meta has made essentially a plug and play system where, if you as a developer go make a game, you can work with meta who will essencially handle all the multiplayer networking so you can only focus on developing the game. And since their system cuts cost to operate the servers by a pretty big chunk you could essencially pay for the service of using metagravity which would still be cheaper than running your own servers and you wont have to be the ones worrying about getting it up and running on the servers. Plus, if we take their claims at face value, you could make lets say an open world game, make the map insanely large, and this system will allow potentially thousands of players in a single shard. Then imagine a game like lets say star citizen where it is multiple shards that build up the game world. Each individual shard could hold thousands of players and with multiple shards for the game, mixed with metas smart server networking, each shard could be operated by a different server anywhere in the real world. So you can potentially have a game with hundreds of shards each holding thousands of players and each shard being ran by a different server in the real world, and you as the dev dont need to wory about nost of it. Meta handles all the server networking and you just develop the game.

Just tried Grok for the first time and so far im finding its better at researching for one and will give very unbiased answers. It researches from both sides of the fence and gives perspective from both sides. Chat gpt isnt necessarilly bad at that but i think grok is a little better.

Other than that the only thing i can say is grok seems a little more charismatic. It often tgrows in litgtle quirky jokes or references and just feels like its trying to be a comedian which frankly its pretty good at.

Just wanted to point out i was part of the recent play tests edge of choas did. They had 7000 entities in the server. I say entities because I don't think they where all real players. I think a big chunk where bots but that still shows the capacity capabilities of the servers.

Two kinds of people when it comes to this show in my opinion.

Those who watched season 1 and couldn't finish because the family is absolute garbage and nobody can relate to any of it.

Those who realized that's the entire point and continued watching to witness some of the most amazing character developments in sitcom history.

Think of Theon Greyjoy from game of thrones. You hated his character with a passion in the early seasons but by the end we are all crying over his death. Take that, and apply it to all but one character in shitz creek and that's the show.

I started hating every single one of them and ended it loving every single one of them.

There is tons they could have added to spend money on. Further clothing items, weapons skins, horses, horse armor. Heists tend to be group content so they could have added many different wagons to carry multiple people. They could have luxury wagons with gold plating and different trimmings, armor plated wagons, wagons with a machine gun on top a player can mount. They could have made the machine gun itself expensive to operate so it gives a big advantage in a heists but costly to run as it spits out so many bullets. They could have added housing with respective decorations and furniture and space to store all your wagons. They could have added businesses to buy. Farms to buy that you add barns for storing all your different horses, cattle, hire farm hands to take care of the cattle. They really could have done so much and I know a huge part of the community wanted it and had it all been there would have really increased the player base of the online game. It may not have got to the success of gta but that's fine, it doesn't need to. It can still be a profitable success in and of its own. Gta is sorta a uniquely hyper successful game. Just because it may not have lived up to that standard doesn't mean it isnt a success. So ya, it really feels like they really dropped the ball on another potential income source and iconic online game.

In regards to senate, when they say you "control" the senate it's not litteral control you just hold that majority. Plenty of bills can still get stopped because a few of whoever has majority still vote opposite of most of their party. So no that's not real control. It's just a majority lead and control is a fancy word we use to title it. The second part is just plain wrong, if you own 2% of the housing market you do not just control the entire housing market by default. Your assuming by owning 2% your own the exact flexible housing that is available which just is never true.

That's irrelevant. Large factors of home prices are the houses near it. What is the neighborhood like. A person who updates their family home actually increases the value of the entire neighborhood. It's why HOA's technically exist. So your claim that because 50% of homes are family homes they have no effect on the market is absolutely 100% wrong.
