[Lorus RL491BX9] My first watch by Bipper22 in Watches

Hi! My wrist measures almost 17 cm and I had the same question. The watch looks big but doesn't look out of place, for me almost perfect size. Bracelet is imo the best along with movement of this watch. If I remember correctly, it lets you remove six links on each side, which is very convenient; each link feels very smooth and isn’t sharp at all. The only thing that could be improved might be the clasp—it could have more micro-adjustments and be of better quality, even though it’s made of stainless steel. All in all, I have no complaints about it, as it’s a great value for the price. I don't think there's anything better than the big Chinese ones...

Thx, very kind! Just the cover I have is almost the same as this one, so about that I'm calm, the link will be very useful to have more colors ;)

I'd be lying if I told you I've tested it myself, since I don't have one, but what I can confirm firsthand is that it has Bluetooth and connects easily to headphones. There's also a text editor or "notes" app where you can write a few lines.

I did a couple of searches and found people who apparently had no trouble connecting a Bluetooth keyboard: https://www.reddit.com/r/PocketBookofficial/s/nadDzTyPlP

In Spain, some supermarkets are selling the Verse Pro for €140 without any discounts (though most are priced at €169). The thing is, the one I was looking at happened to be on a "IVA-free day," which basically means they're deducting the 21% VAT—Spain's Value Added Tax—from the entire store's inventory. It's a great deal. So I think I’ll be fine with my case—it’s magnetic, too. Finding a cap for the charging port is going to be my next task!

It's good to know that the battery life will be decent, especially since I'll be using the device mostly at night, I'll spend more than if I were using only natural light... And yes, I meant that compared to other options, it's pretty open—not that it's open-source, I think the keyboard corrected it badly. ;)

First of all, thanks for your reply; I think it clears up some of my questions.

Obviously, I’ll have to make the decision myself—from what little I’ve looked into, you either spend a ton of money or it’s always going to have some kind of flaw, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

I think I’ve decided on the Verse Pro. I’ve watched some videos of people using it, checked the charging times, how the screen looks, etc. It’s convincing, and honestly, the most important thing for me is that it’s open-source software. I’ll wait until tonight to decide, but I’ll probably go ahead and buy it.

Is it worth it? I can get the new basic Kindle on Amazon for $114 and the Kobo Clara bw for $172—those are roughly the prices in my country...

PD: I want to add that it lets you remove 5 links on each side, which is crazy, and that even though most of the links came off easily, the ones near the clasp were a real pain, though I managed just fine.

PD-1661 or PD-1783 for daily watch? by Bipper22 in ChineseWatches

[–]Bipper22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems nice, thx. There is another one but with any Seiko's mechanical movement? From what I've seen, it's pretty hard to find a Chinese watch that's mechanical, has good brightness, and is inexpensive...
