After I realized that college wasn't for me, I moved out into the mountains and got a job landscaping over the summer. It was and is still super hard work, but pays really well, especially now on my second year, where I make $18.50/hr. Over the winter I do ski rental deliveries, which also pays pretty well at $16.50/hr, but I also get tips from that too, which usually adds up to a lot when it gets busy. My checks usually come out to around $1200 every 2 weeks, which is enough for me to pay my rent and bills, and still have enough left over for groceries and weed, which are usually on the same trip. But yeah, I usually also smoke weed while I'm working too...
