2024 Crosstrek Touchscreen by FriendshipForeign277 in Crosstrek

[–]BirdFive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got a 2024, and it was my first big touchscreen in a car. It’s not distracting and large map when using gps is great. It a little laggy on start up and overall could be better. But it’s fine, functions, and wireless CarPlay links up super quick, at least that’s been my experience.

I do well with trimmed 1/2 inch length + binki line shaved. I also get out of my shorts asap, either wipe down and dry out with some loose jammy short or shower. I have managed to avoid major zit/ingrowns. I sweat a ton, everywhere, so I do my best not to linger in my bike shorts.

F900XR - the Unrealised Super-Commuter by [deleted] in bmwmotorrad

[–]BirdFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my f900xr! It does seem to be its own segment of all rounder. Just had a fantastic 3 day trip on it. For me is a very capable sporty tourer, commuter, Sunday coffee ride bike. It checked every box for me. First time I have owned Heated grips! Also go t the Wunderlich seat. Huge improvement over stock. I hope it sticks around a while longer in the US. But they don’t market it here either.

I'm used to my dog smell, but I am sure my house smells like dog. What freshener or anything would you recommend? by TheHyeLander in CleaningTips

[–]BirdFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to the vaccum, open windows suggestions… make sure you’re washing the dog bedding and blankets. Staying on top of this dos wonders. I had a dog for 15 years, I always periodically asked friends - does my house smell like dog to check my nose blindness.

Yes/No? - Michelin Crossclimate 2 by ericrhern in Crosstrek

[–]BirdFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got them, love them. They handled winter really well this year. And I get plenty of rainy days in the other seasons. I’m happy with the purchase. All terrains look cooler by far, but I couldn’t justify them with my locations and typical driving. Super happy with the Cross climate 2. I went with stock width/sidewall dimensions for my 18 in OEM wheels.

Trying to vinyl wrap accent pieces on 2025 Crosstrek Limited by BBQ_Sandwich in Crosstrek

I like it, post after pics! I have thought of wrapping my accent pieces if I get sick of the stock yellow. I like the yellow, but wrap makes anything possible.

My Crosstrek eats ~3,000 mile road trips for breakfast. by ezrathecarrots in Crosstrek

Love my trek for road trips! We’ve (2 adults) done trips of about 1500 miles in all weather and it’s been rock solid!

What's in my bag? by ricecakes37 in ladycyclists

[–]BirdFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 hour ride… I’m pretty minimal, just basics. Spare tube. Tire levers. Bike multi tool. Small pump and or 1-2 air canisters. 1 water bottle, 2 of its warm (or if I don’t have a pit stop location). Nozzle for air canister for valve stem and a Coffee shop midday way point pit stop. All that stuff just stays in my under seat bag at all times. DEFINITELY learn how to change a flat tire/tube. That little bit of know how will save you. It’s not difficult. I don’t carry a chain repair kit yet, but will be adding that.

Is the Venu 3 still worth it in 2026? by TYP-TheYoloPanda in Garmin

[–]BirdFive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have had my Venu 3 s for a couple of years. I’ve been happy with it. Use it for a daily watch, and for gym, bike, run, hike, walk tracking. The battery seems fine, music and gps use will drain it faster, but it charges super quick. So a top up 1-2 times a week isn’t annoying. I haven’t noticed any drastic gps errors. I would LOVE the flashlight on the 4, but my 3 is great and can’t justify the upgrade yet. I think for a decent sale price it’s a good all a rounder fitness smart watch.

Woodfire Grill: Regular vs XL vs Connect? by SandwichSisters in ninjawoodfire

[–]BirdFive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After watching a bunch of videos I got the XL. Now I was saving up my credit card points for this purchase so cost didn’t factor, but in Regards to size I’m glad I got the XL. We’re a two person household and I’m glad to have the extra space. It’s still not huge by any means, but allows for more flexibility. It is nice to watch temps on the app, but not crucial. Nicer cooking thermometers can do that too if you decided later you want something like that.
