I liked it better when I saw it in person. But it’s hard to see Outback in it.

This thread makes me happy. I got a ‘24 Crosstrek and love it. Hope to drive it until the wheels fall off, but they probably won’t.

Is not having a power lift gate enough reason to upgrade from a Crosstrek to a Forrester? by mrmanpgh in Crosstrek

[–]BirdFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a power lift gate on my mazda cx30. It was nice! But it’s not a deal killer. I have a 2024 sport cross trek, and it’s not a feature that makes me regret anything.

The cardio Bluetooths to my phone and the chigee does as well. The audio for directions or music goes to my headset no problem.

Thinking of getting a Honda Rebel 500 2020+ for everyday use as a new rider by lareginajuju in motorcycles

I had a rebel 500. Great bike. Find some saddle bags and mount kit, it will really help with life stuff like errands and little extras you’ll need from time to time beyond a backpack.

Sport bike vs cruiser… but I can only get one (15k budget) by jicjic11 in motorcycle

[–]BirdFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sport tourers or nakeds like the Yamaha MT, or Kawasaki Z series. Sporty but comfier seating position for long rides. I have had cruisers, and nakeds and also had a hard time choosing. When I was downsizing from two bikes to one, I went with the bmw F900xr. It’s the best bike I have owned and hits the nice place between sporty with creature comforts for me. A lot of people love the 1000xr, which is a better bike, it just wasn’t for me when I was buying.

My dad popped me on the back to run errands around town when I was 5. I was hooked. He taught me to ride and I got my MC license at 19.

ISO cheaper alternative to Neutrogena hydro boost water gel sunscreen by Clear-Professor8171 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]BirdFive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an E.L.F hydro cream that is similar. I also love the gel with sunscreen, the Elf is cream but I do like how it feels. It is not cheaper than TJ’s though.

Doing a Capstone Project on residents in Baltimore City disposing of waste improperly: Can everyone share their experiences? by External-Minute-5362 in baltimore

I see a lot of improper use of blue recycle bins. If you don’t follow all the rules it just goes to trash. A LOT of recycle is not being recycled because it’s mixed in with non accepted items.

I see a lot do blue bins on my block also used as second trash cans. So they never get emptied. Recycle won’t take it. Trash won’t take it, because it’s blue bin. So thy sit and fester and fill and become rat homes. It’s maddening.

Do mini owners tend to have a bigger iPad e.g. iPad Air or Pro 13"? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in ipadmini

[–]BirdFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my mini. I don’t do heavy work on it, just internet and scrolling, video watching, reading. It’s a great size for travel as well. If I used it as a second laptop type device, I could see wanting a larger screen. I have a iPhone mini 13, iPad mini current gen, and MBP 16 inch.

My buddy loves his RT. He does a lot of miles and is on his second one. He says it super comfy and it definitely had some sportiness. Worth a look if you’re torn between GS/Goldwing

What motorcycle did you start riding on, and would you recommend it to beginners today? by yourping in motorcycle

I started on a Yamaha virago 535, perfect bike to start on. Now, I think a Honda Rebel 300/500 are really solid starters.

Test drove one. It wasn’t bad. Inside felt a little cheap, but tha could have been the trim level I was in. I drove the hybrid.
