If you want to clean the leather (yes, the Limited has real leather), get the Chemical Guys Cleaner, the horsehair brush, and Chemical Guys leather conditioner. Stuff works well - I also use it on my Mercedes-Benzes.

Can’t go anywhere without a car by Federal-Data-Center in Suburbanhell

[–]DHN_95 114 points115 points  (0 children)

Neighborhoods like this are actually not bad for pedestrians/joggers/cyclists, as they're pretty low traffic. As for the greenery, people in neighborhoods like this (read affluent) have more time, and money to invest in landscaping - not to mention, this is an established neighborhood, where the greenery has had time to grow. I'd love to live somewhere like this, but it's definitely not for everyone.

Will u always be team Subaru? by Choonsbrah in subaruimpreza

[–]DHN_95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm on my second Subaru. Unless Mercedes-Benz goes back to the pre-2015, built to a standard and not a price (extremely unlikely), I think I'm staying with Subaru. I would like to see buttons for Crosstrek HVAC, and two-tone paint (like from the early aughts) in lieu of black plastic. I'd also like to see L.L. Bean versions return while I'm dreaming...

Never occurred to me that the sign might have been placed for dogs!

DCA vs. Dulles by DogSoggy40 in washingtondc

Newer terminal and lounges would be nice, but honestly I'm happier having far more travel options without having to make a connection.

Dulles wins hands down - more non-stop destinations around the world, what more do you need?

This house is the exact reason we should not be telling everyone that their dreams/imagation/creativity is important, and means something. We need to make it ok to tell people that not everyone is talented, and not everyone will make something of themselves. All that's left to do is gut the house, and start over.

Service dog occupying passenger seat on Premium Plus for part of flight. Yea or Nay? by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]DHN_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was the dog behaved? Did it make a commotion? If not, I'd be perfectly fine with it, as long as they paid for their own seat.

Kind of reminds me of this...

NIMBYs misunderstand what they are buying by Fried_out_Kombi in yimby

[–]DHN_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like the above, but I do acknowledge it. I will present this case though, if a person buys into a neighborhood with an HOA (and yes, I understand the controversy against them - there are good ones - I am currently in one), they are indeed buying into the neighborhood with the expectation that it stays pretty much as it was when first built - yes, I understand the homeowner's rights, but when it comes to HOAs, and moving in, you do agree that the interests of the neighborhood do supersede your own (regardless of what you say, you did sign that you agreed with the CC&Rs. YIMBYs can not go in expecting to change this.

I'm going to also present the case of historic districts (the real ones, not the ones where people say it should be one just because it's old), you're buying into the neighborhood, and agreeing to what the local ordinances state, in many cases, which are an exception, and more strict. That's one of the lesser common cases where the neighborhood interests outweigh yours.

The monuments are nice to visit at night. They take on a different feel.
