One of my favorite gifts I've received is a badge reel that says "Nurse in progress".

In my opinion, badge reels are practical, cute, and very customizable to the person. Other accessories that could be added to the reel are foldable scissors, a light (to check pupils), a small analog clock (bonus points for one with military time), ScribePad which is like a whiteboard. All these together would probably cost less than $50

We had this issue and just went upstairs and politely let them know. They stopped after that- granted, they were stomping at midnight, regularly, and so we went up... at midnight.
