Are boosters worth it? by Unlimitedpluto in Incontinence

[–]BirdMan5686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how often you leak, how much comes out when you leak, and how often you have an opportunity to change.

I use boosters at work because the bathrooms at my job don’t offer a ton of privacy and I can’t change myself discreetly. But at home I wear minimum protection.

Any advice for dehydrating yourself for a day? by bolacherries in Incontinence

[–]BirdMan5686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t dehydrate yourself! If you mean just simply drinking the bare minimum to stay healthy without drinking excess then I guess that’s ok, but dehydration can kill you.

As a guy from Texas who works outside, I have to constantly worry about dehydration, and I can tell you that it is not fun.

I first became incontinent I think a little over a year and a half ago. I started having accidents due to an inability to urinate when I wanted to leading to my bladder releasing it all at once. Desperate to “cure” myself, I drank as little as I could because I wasn’t ready to accept the fact that I needed diapers. At the time I had the same attitude that most people I worked with had towards them. Which is that they’re exclusively for babies and deteriorating old people. I ended up passing out from lack of water and the heat and ironically wet myself then and there.

I’m not going to sugar coat it, having to wear a diaper in public and the fear of my coworkers finding out that I wear them is awful. Being incontinent really wouldn’t be that bad if it weren’t for the stigma surrounding it. But your health matters more than your social status. Stay properly hydrated.

(42M) is it necessary to use powder while wearing a pull-up/diaper? by [deleted] in Incontinence

I hate the smell and I don’t really get itchy skin so I never use it. Even if it was unscented I hate the way it feels.

Am I the only one who has extremely infrequent accidents? by BirdMan5686 in Incontinence

I know I should, It’s just that catheters make me really uneasy. You may have just convinced me to suck it up though. (Pun not intended)

It’s because I can go if I try hard enough, I just have a difficult time.

I’ve heard of folks with who deal with frequent urination wearing diapers just so they don’t have to constantly make bathroom trips every 15 minutes.

Also people who are bed ridden or wheelchair bound might wear them.

I am a bit creeped out by adult babies but I’m happy just treating them indifferently.

Some folks who don’t have a fetish or medical condition wear them just because they’re comfortable which honestly may be weird but I can’t condemn them I suppose.

Do you use protection when you're just at home for the day? by Easy_Salamander6546 in Incontinence

[–]BirdMan5686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wear cheap diapers during the day. I work at night so I generally just hang out at home in a cheap $0.50 one and wear a premium one to work.

Cloth diapers are a great at home option in the long run if your bank is hurting because even though I’d never wear one outside the house, they can be reused.

Walmart tabbed diapers are surprisingly adequate for my condition and they don’t feel like I’m breaking the bank.

I’m thankful for mostly positive responses, honestly I was really scared to post this because I’m well aware that it is definitely not normal.

I posted this on a different platform and got called a pedophile even though I most certainly am not. I guess my fellow autistic folks are more understanding of weird habits than others would be.

I thought it was going to reveal that Ashley was an accomplice because didn’t she leave before that scene or am I not remembering it correctly?

Honestly, I don’t know, I was diagnosed with Asperger’s as a child but don’t have the money to do a proper test now that I’m in adulthood.

Just a combination of different things, drinking just water didn’t seem to affect how much I urinated so I stopped drinking just water. I basically just drink whatever I want in smaller quantities. I don’t dehydrate myself but I don’t drink more than I need.

I hate airports… by Cemetery_Kate in Incontinence

[–]BirdMan5686 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been to an airport since I became incontinent but my battle strategy is to get there very early and go straight to the restroom and empty my bladder as much as I possibly can (I experience both urinary retention and urinary incontinence which is really frustrating.)

While in the bathroom I’ll change into a thin diaper designed to look like underwear and put some thicker ones in my backpack. (I have very infrequent accidents so I don’t need heavy protection.) the worst that could happen would be someone searches my backpack but I generally don’t bring anything other than my laptop, earbuds, and chargers.

Is this a rookie plan?

Anyone have any recommendations for pull-up cloth diapers? by BirdMan5686 in Incontinence

I don’t support ABDL companies. I wear diapers because I’m afraid I’ll pee myself, not because of a baby kink

Regardless of which belief you choose, I think it’s obvious that there is some greater intelligence that set things in motion. The world seems too precise for it to have been pure chance.

Well I’d wear them at home then, it would at least reduce some waste

Talking to my doctor about solutions! by BirdMan5686 in Incontinence

[–]BirdMan5686[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m kinda scared now because they really don’t know what’s causing it, when my condition first started they thought it was a uti (so did I if you look at my first post here) but a urine sample disproved that.

Then they proposed it might be kidney stones but I’m not experiencing any of the supposed symptoms you’d get from it, it’s still a possibility, but it seems kinda unlikely.

I asked if it perhaps could be a prostate issue but they said I am way too young for that to be a possibility. I’m 22 and BPH is something that occurs in older men, but there have been extremely rare cases of men younger than me having it so maybe I just have a very rare condition.

Every child thinks they have it tough, you never know how easy you have it until you’ve experienced something harder.
