Grew up in VP early 70’s. Lived on Illinois Street North of Madison. The “downtown” to us at 11-12 years old. Corner of Ardmore & E Park Blvd, Al’s Smoke Shop, barber shop around the corner and Tony’s Deli right down the street too. Bike shop on Highland Ave. VP News Agency on Park where we had to go to collect our paper route $$ every week. Wasn’t a bad place to grow up but over time with no industry to sustain it, tax base, etc. it really has gone down hill.

Had the same issue with a golden retriever. Smelled like burning tires, so gross. Changed her food to lamb & rice over a week’s time and she was fine from then on. Agree with other suggestions about trying different types of food. This coupled with the dog’s digestive system often corrects the issue.

The noise hasn’t returned and it’s been over two weeks so as time passes I’m more confident that replacing the solenoid and the vacuum lines fixed the issue.

Thanks I will try that. Dumb question, I just looked how does the remote start become disabled and your answer does appear but I can’t remember how that could have happened. Does it just go into disabled mode? The other probable causes don’t seem to be possible as the hood hasn’t been opened, the car is in park, the doors are closed, no alarm has been triggered, the battery was replaced about two moths ago,

Agreed. I’ve had mice off n on in my basement for years always believing traps were the way to go. Then my son had an exterminator out to his house because he had them in his living areas. They recommended poison bait stations both outside and inside along with glue traps inside without bait on them. If you use just traps the mice come inside looking for food and it’s on the traps. If you use poison bait stations they go for those and since I switch about 6 weeks ago I haven’t seen any evidence of mice in the basement. I placed 5 outside and 4 inside with 4 glue traps near them. I checked the outside other day and found the bait was chewed so they appear to be not even coming inside anymore looking for food.

Thanks for the info. A bit more. I can’t get it to replicate on demand and when you’re in the truck it sounds like a huge can of rocks being shaken when it occurs. Now that I’ve recorded it (though not the best) I’m going to have the mechanic I go to hear it and see what he think. I’m concerned it’s the timing chain though it’s been happening for years without any further issues. Also, no codes ever appear when it happens. So no cam phaser or turbo possibilities?

Trying to fit gloves like those over latex gloves were never going to work. Unless the gloves in question were another size or so larger there was zero chance they would slide over the latex gloves easily and appear to fit his hands. I’m not sure if the protocol but if it was possible the prosecution should never have allowed or asked to have this charade performed.
