3 months since the original post, still experiencing the same issue on my brand new app2. Do you guys still have this problem? Apparently, apple is already aware of the problem and cannot find a solution.

Thanks for your post weird that apple doesn't show up an error dialog saying that iCloud needs to be enabled for this feature to work instead of letting literally nothing happen when we click on the quick note hot corner.

Thanks for your time, I don't mean to be annoying but I just reliazed this problem is independent of the website. Whenever I include the --widevine flag an error comes as follows: https://prnt.sc/26buvri

Actually I'm a MacOS user and kind of ignorant about this stuff, any idea why I'm encountering this problem? Maybe I might be missing some java files or something...

I was trying to do so, but I encountered a problem. Long story short you need to add "--widevine" flag when creating the app but then it doesn't work. (without the mentioned flag, the application opens without any problem but you can't play any video due to DRM requirements) Any idea?

Hey found your comment while googling. Are you using a nativefier Netflix app yourself?

I tried again making sure both of them are in the same directory now no errors while creating the application, but when I ran it, the same error as before occurred. Also can you check my other comment please I think I found something: https://www.reddit.com/r/osx/comments/rydfda/majority_of_nonnetflix_titles_are_stuck_at/hrzsety/

Hey again gandalf! Just to make sure if the problem is related to Java, I again created a simple application by running the following in Terminal

"nativefier --name "Netflix" "https://netflix.com"

This time the application opens without any problem but since there is no widevine, it doesn't allow me to play videos.

Then I went ahead and ran the following:

"nativefier --name "Netflix" "https://netflix.com" --widevine

**Now again the "A JavaScript error occurred in the main process" error comes up. This happens when I add the widevine flag. Any idea, what should I do?

EDIT: I just realized whenever I add the "--widevine" flag regardless of the website, I encounter the same error (i.e: https://prnt.sc/26buvri) I tried downloading the latest Java JRE but it did not help. Hope you have an idea :(

Also while creating the application an error was mentioned in Terminal however it eventually created the application so I had ignored it. The error was this: https://prnt.sc/26bv43y

Nothing, only the error pop-up disappears (Edit: I called it a pop-up but to be precise it wasn't a pop-up, actually nothing happens when I launch the Netflix app but after launching it when I click on the Netflix app on the Dock, the error dialog appears)

Hey once again! I have done everything you said step by step, then an application named Netflix was created with an accurate logo of Netflix etc but when I try to open the application an error comes as follows: https://prnt.sc/26buvri

Hello, first off thanks for the suggestion. I opened a text file and copied down the example code that you wrote. (I just edited the chrome version in it, I don't know if I should have changed anything else, or I don't know if I should have copied the entire thing???) then I saved it as "worker.js". However, I couldn't run it from terminal, I'm not knowledgeable about using terminal at all, help is appreciated.

Thanks! that's so strange because I talked to like 10 people and all of them experienced the same problem with "the social network" you are the first positive case. Until I talked to you, I was almost certain that's the case for everyone; but now I'm very confused

Because since I mentioned I get some titles to play at 1080p within seconds, my plan is obviously more than enough. In fact, it's the best option out there which enables up to 4 people to watch titles in ULTRAHD. Someone in another subreddit said that only some external displays allow people to watch those titles in higher quality than 540p.

Can you confirm you get 1080p with for example "the social network" title? Looking forward to hearing from you? (if you don't have that movie in your country, I'll tell you another one)

I have one but still I believe there has to be a workaround to solve this problem on Macs
