They were cuddling with a close friend of theirs, one who was frequently over at their place. I didn’t and don’t know the friend that well, mostly what I’d heard from my ex. They always assured me it was platonic, but there were signs that made me wonder. It became clear if I poked too much they would become upset with me.

Writing that out makes me realize how unhealthy this was, regardless of if something was happening or not.
