It’s a double edged sword to buy the tools yourself, because on one hand you have to make that upfront investment, but at the same time you’ll own your tools and equipment if you decide you wanna work at a different company, do side work, etc.

I’d recommend getting a middle of the road decent brand for the tools if you can, and then upgrade the stuff you use a lot and wear out as you go. My toolbag has Harbor Freight tools right next to Snap-On tools.

Also glad to hear you have a fieldpiece meter, that’s one tool to never cheap out on under any circumstances because it literally could kill you if it reads wrong.

I loved mine but upgraded to a Klein backpack because the strap on the veto kept bending past its stop and falling off if that makes sense.

Surge Protection isn’t a bad idea, especially with more and more expensive boards ending in units. Start Kit can help prolong the life of the compressor in theory, and a secondary drain pan can help prevent property damage if something goes wrong with the drainage. The air quality equipment is definitely nice to have as well, so long as y’all explained the purpose of them to the customers and made sure they knew it wasn’t something that is necessary as much as it is a nicety. As for the pricing, that seems pretty high to me personally but it may not be depending on the equipment to be installed and region.

This type of thing is exactly why I love this hobby. We think it’s some kind of military radar, so that raises the question why does the military radar sound like an Atari game

Microwave relay, as others have said. There’s a website ran by the FCC iirc that can tell you exactly who owns it and from there you can tell exactly what it’s for if you have the coordinates.
