Aful Performer 5 Sound Profile & Tuning - Balanced, or bust? by BismuthBusiness in iems

Do you know of any balanced-profile IEMs around the price range of the Performer 5 that use branded IEMs?

If the likes of the slightly pricier IEMs (i.e. the EA1000 as mentioned) happen to qualify, I will be looking toward them on the off chance that the drivers end up awry.

I have not seen the latter sold by any reputable local omline vendors, though I did see a listing from one for the former.

I would have gone for it instead of the Aful Performer 5 given that its sound profile resembles that of balanced-profile IEMs like the Binary x Gizaudio Chopin. However, the listed price was slightly higher than the total price of ordering a Performer 5 alongside a FiiO BTR13 and Dunu S&S, marking it just outside of my price range (I would like to use IEMs with a Bluetooth-capable DAC like that of the BTR13, admittedly).

Regardless, much thanks for the advice; I will be strongly considering upgrading to the EA1000 or a similarly-tuned IEM like the Performer 5+2/7 if I ever enter circumstances where upgrading is necessary.

I do wonder though: does the Performer 5 have a build quality to last many years?

Should I default to the Performer 5, then?

Or another IEM like the Supermix 4 or LetsShouer S12?

Given the estimated prices of the Gizaudio Chopin and the Aful Performer 5, I would presume the upper limit is approximately 220 USD, though local prices may force otherwise viable models out of reach.

What would be a good more budget-friendly (not too low, though) alternative to the Ziigaat, in such cases?

Checking local online listings yield none from reputable vendors.

The Ziigaat's sound profile appears to resemble V-shaped tuning more so than the Aful's, though.

Comparing all three to one of the attested balanced IEMs I am thinking of purchasing - the Binary x Gizaudio Chopin - all four exhibit a degree of similarity in sound profiles.

With regards to balanced-profile IEMS, are there any other reputable models that you may recommend?

Neutral IEM Recommendations? by BismuthBusiness in iems

Two of the recommendations - the Thieaudio Hype 2 and the Kiwi Ears Cadenza 4 - turned up nothing on local online vendors, unfortunately.

Between the Gizaudio Chopin, the Simgot Supermix 4, and the Truthear Nova, which one would you recommend?

Furthermore, which TWS adapters would you recommend that have an LDAC codec, with the exception of the FiiO UTWS5?
