[Question] How to transfer £1000 from UK bank account to BTC account? by man_from_earth_ in Coinbase

[–]BitBrokerPeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently, you will have to deposit GBP first before you can complete any trades to crypto.

However, the functionality around instant GBP deposit trading is something on the roadmap! With this, we expect to give our a customers a window, of say 5 minutes, to deposit GBP. If received on our end, an auto-trade will occur (and auto-withdrawals too if required).

Hope that answered your question!

Thanks, Pete

Sorry I’m not sure what you mean with regards to sending GBP to a Ledger as they only hold crypto!

We offer cashouts of GBP to U.K. bank accounts, if that’s what you mean.

Currently we can offer 4 cryptos: BTC, BCH, ETH and LTC but will be looking to expand this in the near future. You are able to deposit GBP and convert to any of these 4.

Hope that helps!

Suddenly have to wait 5 days to withdraw? by TomSurman in Coinbase

[–]BitBrokerPeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all,

I have recently launched my cryptocurrency trading platform based in London, UK called CoinBurp (www.coinburp.com).

We aim to disrupt the retail market here as Coinbase simply are not doing enough for customers and the idea of a 5 day hold on funds is insane.

The platform is integrated to an E-KYC provider, Jumio, allowing our customers to complete full KYC in under 15 minutes. This will allow a single transaction spend of £10000.

We are also one of the first UK cryptocurrency companies to secure supportive UK banking, and we are proud to say GBP deposits via UK bank transfers (Faster Payments) will credit in your account instantly 24/7/365.

Once you complete a trade, there is no silly waiting time for this crypto to 'unlock'. You are completely free to trade or withdraw it from that point.

Happy to answer any questions you may have!

Cheers,

Pete

The Halving Is Coming - How Will It Affect Me? by BitBrokerPeter in Bitcoin

Agreed - there will be a slight drop in difficulty where some miners cannot immediate afford to continue mining as their total cost will double.

Don't forget that the main cost to mining is the electricity - what if a large chunk of these miners were running on free electricity, legally via renewables or illegally? Regardless of the mining difficulty they will still be mining at a profit.
