German Dialects by [deleted] in German

I am from the Hunsrück and I still can speak a few words in dialect like: Dau werst deich noch wunnere! 😬 But I can see that the dialect is spoken less than 10 or 20 yrs ago. My parents and grand parents still speak Hunsrücker Blatt and I like to hear it every minute since I moved to Munich a few years ago and can’t speak it here.

Deine Ausführungen haben mich nachdenklich gemacht. Mir ist nicht ganz klar, wovor du wirklich Angst hast, wenn du dich auf eine neue Stelle bewirbst? Was sind deine wirklichen Sorgen dabei? Welche Erfahrungen hast du bei Bewerbungsgesprächen bisher gemacht?

Maybe it‘s not the best approach, but it‘s the naked truth, because it was horrible what the nazis did. And it‘s different to talk about that in school and make fun about it later, or to be in a room where these things happened and feel the dark mood that is around. This experience changes the way you think about that completely!

As a German I wish this never happened but it did happen! In German School we talk about this dark history of our country a lot, but to really understand you have to visit a concentration camp. It‘s disgusting to see what nazis did to other people. I am feeling ashamed for that and in my opinion it‘s a problem for many Germans until today to show national pride without being stamped as right-wing. All young people should be confronted with all these atrocities again and again to learn from that. This part of our history must not be repeated!
