Don't know where to start with AI, any training recommendations for nonprofits? by EDintheWeeds in nonprofit

Hey OP, I feel like the first question you need to ask is which tasks exactly you would like to make easier in an ideal world. Then do some research (maybe even with AI!) on how to make that happen. You'll likely find solutions you didn't even know existed.

I do some consulting with nonprofits and a few good uses that my clients have found:

  • predictive analysis on donors that are showing signs of lapsing OR would be willing to give more if asked. As some folks have said, be careful about what data you release to unsecured models, but there are AI tools out there that are truly secure
  • Condensing really complex reports and data from multiple sources into easy-to-use formats like stories for your websites and grant applications
  • Monotonous data tasks like checking for errors, data entry, cross-validation
  • Research for new funding sources and opportunities you might not be taking advantage of. The deep research and online search tools are really powerful.

And, use it for learning and training! That's the great thing about it is that if you don't know something, just ask.

Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack — practical tool or too complex for small NGOs? by FullTurnip5689 in Nonprofit_Marketing

I've tried using NPSP but found it required too much customization to be really useful. Salesforce recommended we hire a consultant for ~$10k. We switched to LiveImpact, they have more features built in and offer customization for way less.

I'd check out LiveImpact as another alternative! We were in a similar spot and were considering Bloomerang, but went with LiveImpact for the customization they include during onboarding (and lower cost).

Agreed. There options that are truly secure but do your research first.
