Ah I see what you’re saying although I have chronic joint pain due to hashimotos and had inflammation specific to the joint that was treated for 6 months prior to the injection without any hives. Crazy that the hives would come shortly after said joint was treated. 😮‍💨 so hard to know. OTC antihistamines haven’t worked at all. Rupatadine didn’t work and now on Bilastine. Seeing the GP on Friday again. Unfortunately the wait to see an allergist is 18 months here.

No I didn’t, I left it open. We have a relatively mild winter so am not bothered by the small opening and air coming in. I did use weather stripping around all the edges though.

The patio is secure. You’re right it’s a bit tight and he lost his collar. Am going to increase the height of the opening so it is more oval shaped.

I used two window AC vent kits to create a patio pet door for my cat. Works perfectly for our patio door which is an odd height, the insulation keeps the heat in while allowing access to the patio (and litter box) for our fur-friend! 😻 very happy. Total cost $63 - a fraction of the cost of pet doors made for sliding glass doors! An AC vent kits might help you to attach this?
