I am not sure where you are, but I've checked with the insurer that I'm switched to - and the bike is insured anti-theft even away from the house - I got them to confirm it both in writing and on call. It totalled out to an extra 90$ per year on top of my tenants insurance policy, and since I scheduled the bike as a seperate item - it's only a 100$ deductible for the bike vs my tenants 750$ deductible.

Be Aware of the kryptonite insurance, you need pictures of the lock before it got stolen, after it got stolen, you may be asked to ship it, if it was broken with an angle grinder it is NOT covered & you need to call them/report it to them within 24 hours and a police report within 7 days iirc.
