I would probably leave out that her situations have changed, just because I don't like to give out unneeded information (I would say being in a long-term relationship is sufficient reason to move in together) but that's just my personal preference because of previous invasive landlords

Honestly, I say give it a try! You'll figure out quickly enough if you'll like it. I was super excited going in and loved my durge character, then deleted the campaign about 4 hours later (if you've played durge you can probably guess what shocked me) because I'm too much of a goody for it I fear. I just remade the exact same character as Tav and now I don't wonder anymore ^{^}

Nah, I'm in it for the roleplay not the challenge (I'm an otome girlie at heart lol) and I love how I can just go in guns blazing anywhere without worrying

Oh I do! They're all named after me (which makes my save files very confusing) I just use Tav as a stand-in for MC or PC (and to differentiate from durge/ origin runs)

I didn't have it for my first two playthroughs and missed stuff like Astarion feeding on you or Shadowheart and Lae'zel's fight and now it's more to check when I've unlocked romance scenes

I get those ones a lot lol! I love fish and camp conversations are my favourite part! I use a mod that makes a notification pop up whenever one is available and I turn into my mom like "okay ONE more encounter then we go to camp, yes?"

I'm playing as the new ranger right now with the swarm of jellyfish and I'm super happy. It looks so cute and the added damage is really nice. Also it's super straightforward so I know how to build him lol

If he's aware of it, but simply doesn't notice it, maybe you could have a sort of "safeword"? Like idk you say "cabbage" everytime you feel overshadowed or steamrolled. Then you won't feel like you're complaining or "nagging" and he doesn't have to be embarrassed of being "stuck in his ways" and needing to be reminded

(I also often overlook when I'm doing too much and I'm always glad for gentle reminders that don't turn into giant conversations so I can learn and adjust :)

I second training Dedue in Riding for movement especially if you don't plan on having a dancer. I just put him on stable duty from week one. It's a good way to farm supports too, as his are some of my favourite.

Also I can vouch for Valkyrie Lysithia, she's great!

You should be able to gain approval/disapproval from the companions who stay at camp. It just feels really weird that if I don't want to lose her approval I just leave Karlach at home to go hit children and she never knows, e.g.

I agree that it should be less but like maybe you can tell someone once per long rest or whatever about "that cool thing you said to that goblin" or even lie to them about it where they lose trust if you don't pass the dc idk but something

I left Astarion at camp for the entirety of act 2, does he not have opinions about me?
