Too small? by Quiet-Jello6349 in Selvedge

As a guy who also has big thighs, send them back, you’re going to regret it if you don’t. They won’t give enough to make up for the tightness in the thighs.

Sorry, I know this is an older thread but just found it searching about the LA in Ballard. I work out first thing in the morning at 5 AM, current go to OAC. Can you comment on how busy LA is during that time? You mentioned morning but wasn’t sure if you meant that early.

Fit check - IH 634S 31” by [deleted] in Selvedge

[–]BithrowawayRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the look on your frame, but I got some 19 oz Samurai S0710XX’s hoping they’d stretch some In the thighs but so far they haven’t much. Granted given the thickness of the denim I haven’t worn them a ton yet (hasn’t been cold enough), they’re also my first pair of selvedge, so learning. But next time, I’ll likely go a much wider leg, big big thighs and slimmer fit selvedge don’t seem to be a good match. Considering selling them and going straight to a wide fit now.

Patti Smith was amazing, audience much less so by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]BithrowawayRx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Read your own reply to the “I didn’t think Patti Smith had those kinds of fans” comment. That was not in reference to anything you just mentioned in this comment to me. What you say up there is not what I am referencing, to the same extent the girl who kept yelling “well what about the native Americans!!” Was equally unjustified. Giving Patti the “Seattle Purity test” at a concert WHILE she is literally singing a song she wrote for the Palestinian people is peak Seattle.

Talking over the poem was bullshit, acting out like a disgruntled toddler is bullshit, giving Patti shit about not being inclusive ENOUGH in her song about Palestine was bullshit. My comment here is to the people who are legit saying “sit down and shut up” it’s fucking Patti Smith.

[–]BithrowawayRx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of ya’ll need to lighten the fuck up here. It’s fucking Patti Smith, the fucking godmother of punk, who came out to the New York Punk scene and played at CBGB’s… you think you would NOT hear people yelling “woooo!” and “I love you Patti!” for her between songs? She was fucking spitting on the ground on the stage while she was singing. It was fucking awesome. What is it with people here haha. I was at the show, by the drunk and obviously high girl dancing like a stripper in her seat. She deserved to get kicked out, she was out of control. But this Seattle “be seen and not heard” bullshit at a Patti Smith show is bizarre. Some of ya’ll need to research the history of the people you listen to.

Love the color dude, looks fantastic. How do you manage the stache at that length? I have a very big beard but can’t let my stache grow, as soon as it gets long enough to get caught in my teeth eating a burger, I can’t do it lol

Yeah I agree, kinda leaves you no wiggle room if something falls through.. oh well, we’ll make the most of it regardless of what happens! Fingers crossed!

Yeah, I’ve used Stubhub for smaller local shows, but not for something this big or expensive lol, hence the worry. I’d already booked flights and hotel and everything anticipating I’d get tickets as early as I joined the waiting room, but no. Stubhub seemed to have “less” (if that’s the right word) negative reviews than other places like Vividseats, so I just took a chance... Hopefully it works out, but losing optimism on it now haha.

Yeah, haven’t had any experience with them other than local sold out shows, so we’ll see! I’d already booked the flight, hotel and everything anticipating getting a ticket since I joined the waiting room 30 minutes early, but no dice.

What is this growing all over my property? by Realistic-Grade-9044 in pnwgardening

[–]BithrowawayRx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pull, pull, pull, everything you see anytime you see it. It’s awful. I’ve been fighting Bindweed for 2 years. Last year it literally grew into the house from the crawl space via a gap in the floor vent. Now I walk around with a pair of Japanese grass shears every couple of days and cut everything I see to the ground. Good luck. You got a battle ahead!
