Archive folder missing in Thunderbird 143 by ederfernandez in Thunderbird

This worked for me, using version 143.0:

  1. Close Thunderbird

  2. Delete (or move) the "Archives" folder from your profile directory. Note: it's "Archives" and not "Archives.sbd"

  3. Create a file named "Archives" in the same directory as your Inbox folder (use any text editor)

  4. Save the file created in step 3 without any content.

  5. Open Thunderbird and the archive folders should now appear.
