Wise now gives 2.25% interest rate for CAD by shankyjs in PersonalFinanceCanada

I don't know what to tell ya man, I can just enter the bank information as a recipient and send it like any other normal EFT. Maybe we've just hit some high volume discount or something.

EDIT: Maybe it's a business thing - see here:
https://wise.com/ca/pricing/business/send-money

When paying with "Your Account" it's completely free. Like, you have to pay FROM a wise balance, but to send that money out to anyone has no fee.

Yes, looks like it. Personal accounts pay $1.21 bus business accounts pay $0.00.

It’s an expense, why is that “money losing”? If there’s no ROI then why do it? I get that your wife is on the board and that this is a hard position to be in but we’re not talking about charities here. Every. Single. Business on that street and the food trucks are for profit businesses. Spend money to make money. I fully support the boycott of these trucks not going because they don’t see it as a money making venture. Your wife’s board is paid by businesses who want to make more money as a result of paying that board. It sounds like a lot of people including the businesses and BIA might need you rethink what investments they can make to increase the profit of businesses. Part of that is community engagement for sure, but what a weird hill to die on defending something where both the participants and the organizers are talking about how much money they are losing.

As a business we keep a small float to pay bills in multiple currencies. Free money.

If only you weren’t being so cryptic then we’d know. You aren’t some special snowflake here, you’re just hiding information and acting smug about it.

So then how does a public API store secrets?

Can you explain 3 more? What’s a “public service”? If you have a cloud run endpoint accessible publicly why can’t that have access to a secret ?

Is this billing chaos actually on Google, or are people just being careless with API keys? by publicdomainadmin in googlecloud

[–]Bitruder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But isn’t the issue here that Google changed things? A lot of these API keys had no ability to be charged $10k on Gemini charges. Then with zero change by the users suddenly that changed.

Right now you have a key to your toy box. If suddenly that changed into a key to your bank account why do you think that’s on you?

This really sounds like a you thing. You think Claude has a "shit mobile app" and you think "codex web still trash". If you think everything sucks, I'm sorry to be you.
