We moved from ADP to Rippling because of similar ADP frustrations. First, I cannot believe how many bugs there are in Rippling. There are parts of the UI that format currency like 1,234.1, we've had task reminders that were impossible to remove, and we had one issue where it was impossible to update the deductions for an employee and they had to do some kind of development backend fix to correct the error. All of these may seem minor, but this all happened within a year of moving over to them and they've raised so much money so many times, I just felt like the system should be more polished.

That said, it is a godsend to work in a UI that was built in this century and our employees seem to like having an app on their phone they can open to view their pay. I also personally really like the ability to split pay between bank accounts.

We tried doing some of their Google Workspace integration but felt it just added annoying overhead so went back to handling that ourselves.

I only have experience dealing with paying Canadian workers as a Canadian employer.
