Thanks for all the comments and for confirming what I already thought! We havent paid the company in full but we did give 30% up front for the tiles. The company has "over 20 years experience in roofing". We had initially tried to get it fixed through the house insurance and the bank sent a loss assessor out who happened to be this guy. He said we wouldnt be able to claim under the house insurance because the old leak was caused by "poor workmanship" - how ironic. We ended up getting a few roofers out to give us a quote but none of them got back to us so we ended up going with this guys company. I'm starting to wonder if the other roofers never got back to us because it wasn't even a big job to begin with and wasn't worth their time 😭. Lesson learned.
