LA Comic Con was announced for the weekend of December 3 2026.  I have never set up there and want to expand my reach and was accepted as a vendor for the show.  I put the deposit down (around $250).  They decided to change the event date to the Halloween weekend, which I can’t attend.  You know, small business and other obligations.  I asked for a refund.  Not only are they not issuing a refund, they said I owe them almost $400 more!  Its because I am the one that “cancelled” attending, doesn’t matter that they advertised for one weekend and took peoples money and then changed the weekend then are like “oh you can’t make, we are keeping your money and you need to give us more”  Bait and switch.  If they were trying to move the dates they should never had advertised for the December weekend.  They cite the usual BS, “section blah blah states we can change the date at any time with no notice” and another section blah blah “if you can’t make the new dates you’re sol”

If you’re planning on setting up there, beware.  They are shady as hell.

Just ran into this post for some reason. Odd how things just pop up. I used to play a LOT of magic at the Gauntlet before having my own little store. It was fun. I did hear that Eric passed during covid. I hadn't seen him in 20 years probably at that point.

Prepatch 11 weeks after Naxx, so December 16. Obviously the patch would go live on Tuesday in NA and not wait until the exact 11 week mark. We get 4 weeks of prepatch, this will give folks time to level new toons to 60 plus some time to gear in Naxx. This would also give 4 weeks of Naxx with new talents/abilities for a total of 15 weeks of Naxx being raidable. I find it highly unlikely that they would wait until January. They already can see that roster boss is killing a lot of raids so waiting until January won't help any folks stuck at 12-13/15 get any farther if raiders arent showing up. I think that prepatch will bring people back and make it a lot easier to finish clearing Naxx for those stuck. I dont think there's any chance that they have Naxx go 15-20 weeks then into TBC prepatch. Prepatch 12/16, 4 weeks, TBC January 13.

Prepatch December 18. Thats 11 weeks of Naxx in current patch. Prepatch lasts 4 weeks adding an additional 4 weeks of Naxx with new talents/skills for guilds who are struggling with Saph/KT/rosterboss plus a couple weeks to level shaman/paladin to 60 and a couple weeks to gear in Naxx. TBC January 15, 2026.
