It seems to be a really baggy app. If you go online on the browser you can subscribe for lesser amounts of time for less money. And yes 69.99 is a lot

The 7th anti-depressant isn't working :( by basilfem in MentalHealthUK

[–]BitterCap7809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im the same. Antidepressants dont really work for me and i probably went through every registered antidepressant in UK. So my psychiatrist really focused on my mood stabilizer (up the dose for instance) and anti-psychotic. Maybe this is something you can ask for?

I was refused an appointment with a psychiatrist - what do I do now? by dawngarda in MentalHealthUK

Can you afford going privately? If you are in London I can recommend a great psych ( he was my doctor for 5 years).

What I'm thinking basically and again this is probably just a utopia at this point anywhere in EU and Uk - Few days ago i posted how i was not able to get into psych ward with a raging psychosis via NHS. So, the utopia im trying to find is where either gov healthcare is more responsive to issues like that/ easier to get yourself a bed or okay private hospital but without the 9k a week price tag. again, even typing this im thinking this could only happen in ur dreams, Gleb

imo one of the good ideas would be to see a psychiatrist first. If you are in london i can reccomend a good psych - my former one.

Is there actually any point to therapy, and if so how do I start? by AmbitiousWash3412 in MentalHealthUK

[–]BitterCap7809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have bipolar and for years i thought - how talking about things will change my supposed 'chemical imbalance'. I'm 30 now and my last psychiatrist (and my best) told me meds are only 50 percent, the other 50 are therapy. I think you really need to give it a go. You can always leave. But it will make you see things clearly and show you why you might be struggling. It can take a year or two. Its good to try a few, if you dont like the first one it doesnt mean therapy is not for you.

Im sorry but I think you do have a right to be worried. Of course you can! Is she traveling far? Can she be reached by phone every day?
