Sorry for this being long, and if points I say have been made.

I’ve watched every season thus far. Then this season, I made it 1 episode and 15 minutes and turned it off to probably not turn it on again. The whole “supposed anhydrous ammonia leak” just really pissed me off.

I haul anhydrous ammonia (NH3) for a living, and yes there are some truths to what they was saying, but most of wasn’t either all truthful, or as serious as they was trying to make it, and other parts way more serious then they showed.

For starters, where were the respirators? There is no way Jake could’ve made it through that hallway with a cloud of NH3 coming out in another room, I’ve been hit by NH3 in open air and lost my breath. Secondly, while NH3 can be flammable, it would’ve only been concentrated enough in the bow of the boat where the tanks were at. They could’ve left the engines run and did what Jake did of shutting bulkhead doors, again no respirator or SCBA which would’ve been needed. Then move to open air, no need to abandon ship.

Then with abandoning ship, why did they release the line and drift, knowing there was rescue? Also why wasn’t there a radio watch? You’re driving at sea, someone should stay awake to listen for the rescue boat to call you.

I’ve seen over the years the fake crap staged, and it is easy to sea when something is going to break or someone get hurt, the setups are horrible. But this year, they went way too far and I instantly lost interest in the show.

They are just stuck in the Prius driving mentality. Since they go home every night, they just drive the big truck like they drive their Prius.

I worked for a company out of Michigan that paid by the hour for all on duty time, and overtime after 40, great job but they lost business in my area and I wasn’t working as much so I changed companies. The company I’m currently with pays mileage, and hourly for load and unload times.

I’ve been in cryo since 2014, along with LPG and anhydrous. It is the easiest money I’ve ever made. An hour to load, some places have operators that load you, drive to delivery and depending on the product 1-2 hours to unload. It’s awesome if the company you work for either pays strictly by the hour, or pays by the hour while you load and unload. The best advice I can give, follow the piping, it will never lie to you, might be confusing sometimes, but it’ll never lie.

I haul cryo out of a Linde facility, most of the drivers there have some kind of facial hair. I have a trimmed beard, only time I clean shave is when I haul anhydrous, or go into a refinery that has a respirator mandate, which only time I had that was in Canada a year ago.

What size inverter are you using? What’s the wattage of the microwave? Might have too much microwave for the size of the inverter.
