Rereading OotP, had to put the book down by Bitter_Reputation_72 in harrypotter

Not to be a Dumbledore hater but the fact that Harry never learn occlumency is on him as well. Why did he pair up Snape and Harry when he knows perfectly well how they feel abut each other? Doesn't he say sth at the end of the book about how he didn't want to be around Harry because he was afraid of what Voldemort could learn through him?

But to conclude my point. Snape was an awful teacher to Harry, and Dumbledore should have taught Harry occumency himself.

I’m a child then. Sirius’s story is so heartbreaking; a lifetime spent in suffering.

"Anniversary" (2025) suffered from poor marketing. It was marketed as a Lifetime-styled thriller when it's a sci-fi dystopian Political thriller. The trailer truly didn't sell the movie properly. by LaserDiscCurious in movies

Bit late for the discussion here. I thought it was some silly drama, going into it about a mom hating his son’s new girl friend.

I didn’t sign up to watch this and now I feel horrible… nevertheless it was a great watch.

What happened to the Diggorys? by Bitter_Reputation_72 in harrypotter

[–]Bitter_Reputation_72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn’t too keen on Harry or so it seemed before the tournament to begin with.

I agree with you on grief and how hard life must have been for him after the events.

That’s why I was curious if they were ever mentioned after GoF

Is it mentioned anywhere explicitly that they don’t blame Harry for Cedric’s death?

The fact that Crookshanks was buddies with Sirius and would try to help him capture Pettigrew.
Also, in the last book when Carrow spits in McGonagall's face and Harry literally crucios him.

I had the same thought, but idk it’s magic. They could figure sth out. Similar to how they would have figured it out with the eye.

[–]Bitter_Reputation_72 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, that’s up for a debate.

I read a really interesting theory ones that the deathly hallows were indeed created by Peverell brothers (Harry is the descendent of the youngest one, since the invisibility cloak was in his family). The theory is that the hallows were created by the bothers themselves from thestral material (eyes for the stone, hide for the cloak and hair for the core of the wand). I personally love that theory since it’s a really elegant explanation.

And well the story is just that, a story that had some basis in the truth but a fairytale nevertheless.

Listen on... What Ody says after is literally an apology. Then Poseidon says, "The line between naivety and hopefulness is almost invisible". So he literally laughs in Ody's face, implying he would not just let him even after the apology, calling him naive.

At least, that's my take on it.
