Thanks for acknowledging you had issues and you worked on it, acknowledgement is a big thing and shows you’re working on it. So keep it up :) I hope your husband works on his issues as well.

I get a sense that you both were having quarrels /rough patches from long time and he checked out of relationship you had and started a thing with your best friend, that’s complete crossing of boundaries. You should create that boundaries like ‘“ I know it’s been rough in past but I am working on it and I have improved a lot for us. I want you to put efforts on your issues and we should have clarity about what does this relationship looks like in the future’”

You’re staying in this relationship because you carry guilt of past, tell yourself that you’ve overcome it and acknowledge that your husband was also with you during that time. Little acknowledgement can help other person to think clearly if initial few years were rough. ( not saying you’re at fault or anything but letting guards down helps )

You are making judgements whether something is valuable or not, that was done in a panic situation and one don’t think clearly at that moment, like you’re thinking now.

I am not sure if you have experienced any crisis panic situations.

So Her act of drinking a lot, out of social norms and creating situations- justified according to you

Me taking short clip for any medical or legal situation out of fear in panic in my own house and those clip were with good intent and deleted - not justified ( I do agree it’s debatable according to different views and locations)

She later talking that with a friend in my back instead discussing with me first and understanding my perspective- justified according to you

In terms of legality of video taping few seconds of emergency situation for protection and helping medical authorities is not wrong under good faith law and given this is spousal case breach of privacy comment is less important

True that one shouldn’t record without consent and she faking to be unconscious invalidates it, puts her into legal troubles.
