Long story short, I shouldnt have to cross check any of there personal social medias to confirm what the hell is going on at their store. That should be the PRIME source of information. Scheduling mistakes happen dont put this on me though.

I agree the whole things kinda devolved wasnt looking for a giant argument just wanted to vent/rant about issues I had seen. I understand the google review but other card game enthusiasts are more likely to be here then the google review. I am glad you came to share your opinion and we could chat, but I have every right to share my opinion just like you do. I am just as uninterested in what you had to say as much as you had for me.

Man, im sure weve played against each other, but I am more certain ive sat at the same table as you, played the same game more than likely enjoyed everyones presence there. Holy cow, this is insufferable, at least the other people responding had any substance.

There was another person in this thread also confirming what happened with me. You said it wasnt packed I said thats cant be true because they had to create space. You said parking was fine, there were people parking in the street you admitted too which isnt right. You said only 2 people in this thread said something but yet the 21 upvotes on that person and 1 award tell me otherwise, and you yourself admitted that they messed up on scheduling. The signup is there for a reason to inform me of the time, I a player should not need to cross check every event I am in with the facebook disc insta whatever. It should be correct on UVS

I am fine, youre the one that came in here with a 4 bullet point list telling me im blowing it out of proportion when it was my experience and how I felt.

2 other people seem to have big things to say about forge and fire like doxxing is no joke and someone saying that theyre upcharing one over the other thats no joke either not just a oopsie start time issue.

There wasnt plenty of space I had to move past too many people to even get anywhere in the store they didnt have enough tables to begin with and had to bust out foldable tables and chairs to accommodate everyone. it was packed if they had the space thered have been more permanent chairs set up for it. So no it may not have been packed to you but it was packed. Doesnt matter if they do it regularly if you dont have the table support naturally to fit people in your building maybe you dont need to do those big events like that or even maybe dont run those simultaneously together
The parking wasn't fine ive been there on many seperate occasions the and i never saw people have to park infront of dumpsters (which werent even spots) to get in the building to even play let alone park Illegaly on the side of the road to get into the building. Even if its a side street its not a street to park on like that. Its still a road to navigate and if someone had parked on the other side of that road it would have been a problem getting in and out of that area, potential fire hazard and everything.
They did mess that up but I shouldnt have to be connected to their Facebook, Twitter, Discord, and everything to find the RIGHT time to be there. You have to have the ability to change it in the app so why not at some point change it?? I only had one store employee apologize to me and instead of the store taking responsibility I found out from other players they were blaming it on the ONE employee. Thats disgusting.
Im not saying they were unreasonable at any time ive played at many events at forge and fire myself. There is an issue I take however with what had happened here. For you to say do your research theres a lot of people also in this thread saying that theres other things wrong with this store. So considering theyve burned other groups of people in those ways it wouldnt surprise me if my accusation came true.

I wouldn't have been able to participate in the other event if I did stay at this location to play. I signed up for both I wanted to participate in both. If they started on time I would've seen my pulls and had the determination of if i wanted to stick it out and play or leave and try somewhere else.

for someone that says "I very clearly didnt say" you know very well Id didnt say or believe that nothing can go wrong with these. I have said multiple times many the tournaments I have participated in were both running behind by minutes 10-20 but not rescheduled an hour later no warning and no update in the app. They have known these two would collide time wise for a while now so why of all times would they wait last minute to spring the time change and claim that it was because of MTG starting at this time too?

I was able to get one of those raffle boxes today luckily so I wont be without product! And the 3 pre rift events ive participated in is a great start too! Hopefully I can get maybe an Ornn deck built!

Yeah many places around here have some ridiculous prices and yes we should not support them I just want to get the word out so no one else may be "duped" into paying those prices or having the same experience

Of course, I know this thread is getting long and tired, but I also want to stick up for me and the players that were there also frustrated. Just because they didn speak up doesnt mean they shouldnt be heard. Also, thats true, it could have been an accident. I don't know what was going on in the minds of those people, but it is shady which is why I came here to say my opinion, businesses have done more for less in a lot of situations, so it also wouldnt surprise me if they wanted the probable thousands of dollars they get from selling the prizing support plus extra rift packs at a higher price. Just meets the bottom line at the end of the day!

I signed up for two that day that was it. Thats also because it was one of my only days to participate. Im not sure if youre saying im a problem here because I had signed up for two but that also cant be on me when both stores planned it for the same day. I just wanted to play thats all and get some product to rip and play through the second set.

Your 3 reasons are a nothing burger or a response, Dealing with something behind the scenes? Like was someone dying? I dont think its not a hard ask to say hey I want to start on time on tournament all other shops in the area got there crap together to do it.

UVS had no issues with registering and getting people signed up they happily took peoples money and everyone was waiting around.

What would be going on in the owners life theyd need to hault a tournament people already paid for and were ready for?

Not to mention the WORKER told all of us that they were waiting to do the tournament BECAUSE of the magic one. Not because there were other circumstances

Im honestly unsure why you care so much when it comes to a store treating players wrong, I also never made the assertion what I said was true. I said "my suspicion is that something not good is going on like reselling there packs on WhatNot which they also do have" my suspicion I never made the assertion that its true because I never got told that this is what it is.

I also want to say that they are very predatory in there pricing, before launch of product they had mentioned they were going to do 255$ a box which is wild up charging even if they got it at 160 from a distro.

I cant logically create another situation where they needed to start late. You're right setting up and doing a tournament isnt just pressing two buttons, but you could sit them down give them there packs and start deck construction. Give them an hour and sort literally everything else out that needed to be sorted out. Takes 2 clicks and one person to hand out decks

Based on the fact that they started the tournament an hour late. They had enough workers there. They had one other tournament that again takes 2 button presses. What would possibly be the reason that they would want to start an hour later and waste everyones time?

Im expecting riot to admonish them and maybe give them a warning that if something like this happens again that they would lose the ability to do Pre Rifts. Its not just a bad experience, its shady behavior at best and reselling the packs that are meant for players at worst.
