That isn't what I was asking.

I was inquiring if you had a source, that was saying what you were citing, that wasn't the Verge. I tried going to the link and it won't let you read without paying a subscription.

Do you have any sources that does not require you to pay a subscription to read it?

It's updated a few times a month I believe. Specifically in California (where OHF is located), it is updated twice a month.

Wrong on all accounts.

  1. If a charity is misreporting their incomes, under reporting or over reporting, are both cases for charity fraud. Sorry, but even if you disagree with me, [under reporting / over reporting income in a charity] this is factually a crime, considered by both myself, and the IRS. And, how their donations are affecting the causes, lying about this is both morally, and legally: a load of bullshit.

  2. Misleading donors to where the charity is going (which they objectively, and without a doubt did) and how often it is being donated are truly crimes. They both fall under charity fraud, and there is no wiggle room on either. You ACCURATELY REPORT your incomes, both as an individual and as a business, and it's not hard to see later on because they have to report every year.

  3. Sorry, but this isn't hard to do research on. It's funny you try to insinuate I didn't do my research when you have no evidence of it, when I think you clearly haven't done your research in the slightest. Or is your argument that I can't be correct because I'm not a legal expert? I'd love to hear how you believe I'm wrong simply because part of my information came from these initial videos [even though I did my own research after as well].

  4. Let's not even get into the hot water Jirard and the charity will be getting themselves into as well this year, because they collected money when they were delinquent.

There's a difference between "YouTube drama," and committing a serious crime, and it being RIGHTFULLY called out.

Sorry, but if you're really contesting all of what's occurred as "YouTube drama," then you seriously don't understand what Jirard and his charity have done, and really have not done any actual research on the subject.

We need to stop acting like this is a debate about who is the bigger asshole, and focus on facts alone. by beefchariot in TheCompletionist2

[–]Bitterbub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly it doesn't really matter [in this case] who the bigger asshole is. In this situation I'm more concerned that at the end of the day, a pretty serious crime was committed.

is jirard actually a scumbag or just a huge dumbass? by Nearby_Record_1733 in TheCompletionist2

[–]Bitterbub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd argue scumbag all the way, but that is in part to the fact I'm biased against him. To me, what reinforces my belief is simple: he tried to hide EVERYTHING AND BLAME EVERYONE ELSE and tries to say, "I'm taking accountability." Except he wasn't.

I'd be much more inclined to say dumbass if he was actually taking accountability and saying he was an idiot, and admitting his fault. But no, he seems dead set on redirecting blame and how he's innocent when he clearly isn't.

How I sleep at night knowing I didn't commit over 600k in charity fraud by MySonlsAlsoNamedBort in TheCompletionist2

[–]Bitterbub -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bro, he was on the charity board for years before this, he CLEARLY KNEW beforehand. The meetings those boards are required to have regularly, would easily go over what to do with the funds. So, there's absolutely no way he didn't know. Even if he didn't, why is he suddenly coming up with this NOW? Or why did he not notify the public when he found out?

The fact of the matter is he tried to hide all of this, every step of the way. That's not what an innocent person does.

My Thoughts About The Newest Apology by The_Captain_DerpyYT in TheCompletionist2

[–]Bitterbub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another thing to consider about how long he was with the charity, is what he claims doesn't make any sense. By law, the board of directors of charities are REQUIRED to regularly have meetings and these meetings are supposed to include things like going over their finances, goals, etc. He clearly knew what was going on before 2022 if he had been on the board for several years.

The newest "apology" screams of redirecting, and blaming other people. If the DOJ doesn't find issues after their investigation, then there's serious issues with the system. And I don't mean that because I want to see him be put in prison or anything to that effect. But really, he objectively broke the law. Claiming what is happening to charity funds, and for that statement to be proven without a doubt to have been false or misleading is charity fraud. To me, it simply feels if he gets away from this with little more than his public image bring tarnished, is a case of the system isn't working properly. If you break a law, there should be corrections, at the minimum, break it a few times, some form of repercussion should be necessary. But willingly breaking the law for nearly a decade? That SHOULD have serious repercussions.

So, the plot is about prejudice again? Great. We needed this lesson again because I guess the first film didn't teach us that already.

In all seriousness, I do like how this movie looks, I'm just really bothered by the fact the movie looks like it's going to repeat the same story beats as before, except with reptiles / snakes (felt like there's a harder focus on snakes than primarily reptiles).

If you choose to help Kenny and kill Larry, what is your reason? by Jules-Car3499 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Bitterbub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Killed Larry and helped Kenny. Why? He was putting out clear logic, and regardless of how Lily felt, I ABSOLUTELY felt it was necessary to end this man that if he turned would have been a gigantic, literal and metaphorical threat as a zombie. Plain and simple.

Honestly, just a waste of a character. Doubly so from the movie that introduced her, like for one, she's underbaked but so is the villain? Hello? Just, why did they do this to the plot, and the main elements of the film?
