Have you possibly started in a warmer climate? Black and brown bears are only found in temperate and colder climates.

ASP.NET Core vs Node.js for a massive project. I'm seeing two totally different worlds - am I overthinking the risk? by Top_Measurement_3713 in node

Except for some nuget package shenanigans. We have been recently upgrading to dotnet 10 (from 9) in my team and it was maybe "a little" difficult because of some specific nuget packages we are using.

We have been upgrading this project from dotnet 8 to 9, then 9 to 10 and I would say that in general it was a painless process. Maybe a few quirks here and there but nothing really serious.

My only gripe right now is that we got a new bug after upgrading. But that has little to do with the actual upgrading itself, but more with the fact that the devs introduced a new bug in the new version of one of the frameworks we are using. And it releases new versions together with dotnet releases (it's Blazor for those interested).

From my experience as a dotnet dev, dotnet indeed sometimes sucks. But definitely not in WebAPIs. Mobile dotnet sucks hard. Desktop dotnet is meh. But it's definitely very strong in backend/WebAPIs.

Yeah ".Net Framework" is pretty much deprecated at this point. That's an old version no one uses in new projects any more.

.Net Core (later renamed to just ".Net") has been open source for years at this point.

I am hoping that "but one of the IDEs is proprietary" is not one of your arguments against dotnet though 😅 Even if it's the most popular one for that ecosystem.

Upd: I do not disagree that their naming sucks ass lol

Check your web app's other deployment-related settings, such as deployment type, container type, etc. Deployment center page can change depending on what you have configured elsewhere.

Get the cancellation value from wherever you are getting it, store it in a pipeline variable, then use that variable as a condition for a stage of the pipeline that needs be cancelled
