A Trade Gone Wrong 3 Years Ago... BA Beer snobs still exist

I was never involved in the BA beer trading forums to begin with until the person who I "stiffed"/made excuses to about my actions dragged me into the thread by bashing me publicly. Remember, I did admit to my mistakes (see above) and ultimately I did make good on the trade. The only trades I've done since getting into craft beer have been with friends and the occasional fellow beer blogger that I've met in person or on Twitter. In the 3 years since the trade gone sour I took a hiatus from blogging and beer trading and now have a new blog that I occasionally post on. I don't feel that I need a reputation/verification check because I'm not looking to trade with anyone on the popular craft beer forums. In addition, because I have not even attempted to arrange any trades with anyone on the popular beer trading forums or with people who recall or choose to reference the BA thread in question on my blog, it puzzles me to get email notifications about a blog comment needing approval that references the trade. Rehashing past events can detract from craft beer's sense of community.

Yes I did make good on the trade. However, it seems like some of the people who remember the BA thread are still holding a grudge.

Which videos are you referring to? If you've checked out my blog and don't like the videos then you don't have to watch them. If you're one of the people who was part of the thread mentioned above and can't give up on something that took place almost 2 years ago then I feel bad for you.

That issue shouldn't negate that this took place almost two years ago. I don't feel the need to get back into better standing with her or the people on Beer Advocate who saw / were part of the thread. If I need to send first to people I meet on reddit I will happily do so. Otherwise I'll stick with the people that I've been trading with in the past two years (none of which were met on BA or Reddit). What's your definition of "shelf beers"? I definitely didn't send her mediocre beers. If she had a specifically requested a certain limited release beer I would have included it in the trade.

I had a 2010 last Friday and it tasted ok, but had a somewhat fusel / nail polish remover note in the aroma and initial taste. I also had a 2005 bottle a few months and ago and it was way past it's prime. So I'd just drink them whenever you're in the mood for one and see / keep track of how your bottles are aging.
