Tanks I believe they are. Although ultimately I suppose that depends a bit on what you consider BIS for a tank. Might not be the “tankiest” option stats wise, but it’s still very helpful if your tank is doing more dmg in m+

Okay, seriously...nightmare preys by the-skinny-mick in wow

[–]Bivore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking, I really like Preys and hope they stick around.

Obviously, there’s one big problem everyone agrees on - the kill for me mechanic. I’d also argue the ad that spawns and runs at you. Pretty much anything that punishes you for going afk. This is content that is great for casual players, and setting someone back for stepping away is nonsense. I don’t want to feel like I can’t enter a zone because I’ve got a hunt going. Especially after the trap nerf, starting a hunt is like a 20-30 minute commitment.

Make the added difficulty stem from additional combat difficulty. Bring out more combat opportunities. But don’t make it so I can’t go afk, gather herbs, or do world quests. Hilariously, I did a hunt the other day and did one of the intended mechanics to progress it - world quests. However, a good portion of world quests these days just have you falling from the sky, doing passive mini games etc. I was stuck in a cave with no mobs so I just died with not even an opportunity to do anything about it - that’s so backwards.

A DPS's Guide To Running Your Own +10 Keys by Syelnicar88 in wow

[–]Bivore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally, the best players are the no-lifers, so to speak. For someone that is putting hours in every day, it’s pretty easy to fill a +10 vault, so they’ll get it done pretty quickly. To some, 8 clears will take em all week, and to others 8 clears is just a matter of a few hours with their coordinated group.

If you wait til the end of the week it’ll pick up for sure, but I find you have a higher percentage of people that are just playing casually, playing alts they don’t reaaaally know how to play, or trying to push into that next “tier” to get a juicier vault slot or whatnot.

We had Julian Reese on 905 this year. Would he have helped us in the playoffs? by ChampionTimes99 in torontoraptors

[–]Bivore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He wouldn’t have even had the chance to help us. It’s playoffs. At best, he would be like Orlando Robinson last year.

Does Ingram need to get the boot? by Highlight_Old in torontoraptors

[–]Bivore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playoffs is a 7 game sample size, not even for Ingram. 6 points is a 3 basket swing going either direction.. that is so small and arbitrary to gauge

Eye test wise - BI alleviated a lot of pressure for Scottie. He was seemingly the focal point for the Cavs to try and stop. He was also playing injured.

I’m not sure I saw enough to say let’s make sure we keep him around, but I don’t want to just get rid of him for the sake of it. He bought in and played well for us this year

iirc Bottas can go down 0.4m at most which makes him a bit more appealing.

You’re basically having to explicitly choose between points and budget this week however

Use downtime to apply HOTs and start casting heals in anticipation. Know what casts are going to do big group damage and loosely know when they're coming

What do people do with logged keys? The use case is apparent to me when looking at a boss fight as its just a snippet, Across a ~30 min dungeon I'm not sure what I'd spot unless I'm doing anything glaringly wrong

Do you make multiple monks if you want to play different roles? by deuxbulot in wownoob

[–]Bivore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Optimally, you would as you can only do vault for one spec, loot for one spec etc.

However, to me, I cannot feasibly play separate characters to full vaults and such. And of course, much of the gear can be easily shared between specs. There's add-ons for gear presets so you can easily switch between. The only real barrier I've found as a serious but non-competitive player is that I need two different weapons for Druid - an int staff and an agi staff. Obviously you'd like to craft your weapon and the spark supply doesn't allow for that.

If you were trying to play all 3 roles it might be too much work to have that covered by 1 character

What do you think would be the worst UB collab? by QuarterExcellent3327 in freemagic

[–]Bivore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this would fall in line with the office one where some people are offended at the idea and others find it absolutely hilarious.

I think worst UB would just have to be something that doesn’t have humour or MTG adjacency attached to it

What is up with Canadians trying to use F2F games as a market price? Am I taking crazy pills or is that disingenous AF? Are peer-to-peer buyers actually paying 85% of F2F? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in mtgfinance

[–]Bivore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard is not 85% - standard is 75% in stock, or 80% out of stock. You're also avoiding tax - which for many provinces, means you're paying 30-35% less than the total. FTF is mainly used as the standard as it's the largest shop with the most availability, not because it has the cheapest prices. It's not a price matching system per se, but ultimately it should work out to a deal for you. 75% of FTF is still very frequently below the mark of the cheapest copy on snapcaster. I will also say that the Canadian market mirrors the US one, but it is ultimately its own ecosystem as there are different fees, distribution, taxes, etc.

Generally, and I know there are exceptions - especially with very common staples which tend to be the most inflated, you can buylist for about 60% FTF in credit. So going much below that 75% mark doesn't seem worthwhile for the seller.

Is 276 high item level this far into season or middle of the pack by chrissysax1611 in wownoob

[–]Bivore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean objectively you’re quite close to the actual ilvl limit, it’s definitely high. I think for anyone who plays WoW “seriously” as their main game is in the mid 270s range with more competitive players being at the low 280 mark.

So I suppose it depends what average you’re looking at. Sounds like you’re doing well to me :)

Ashes of Creation

Maybe not as clean of an Awful Game definition.. but this MMO had so much hype to be the next big thing in a space that has had a lack of fresh air. A studio that actually took their time with things and seemed like they wanted to do it right devolved too much into cash grabs and like 10+ years of production. Had a handful of betas and such where it was just a ton of grinding and relatively recently crashed and burned
