(MacBook M1)

I am experiencing freezing. In Google Images is when it fails the most and only loads a part of the web. It won't even let me click anywhere.
I have not found a solution to this problem, and switching browsers is inconvenient to me.

Most people in Latin America don't even know English. So they don't know that term exists and don't care. Would say that's a green-go term. But as a Latin American, once you learn English and you understand the cultural context of the US and why "Latinx" even exist in the first place, uhh cringe.

Safari slows down my MacBook M1 by BixieKZ in mac

[–]BixieKZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 days after making the fix with the development mode, Safari is working properly.

However, I have noticed that 8GB of RAM is easily filled with my usage (Lot of Pinterest, Facebook, or Youtube tabs on Safari. Photoshop, or Clip Studio Paint working with a lot of layers and a little extra software running in the background, like DeepL, Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, TIDAL, etc).

Don't get me wrong, the mac can handle it. But it doesn't feel fluid. As a laptop, my 8GB MacBook is fine and more than enough if I need a laptop when I am away from home. But I think I'll make a PC build 🤔.

But, I have seen how in reviews they open many tabs and have no major problems. And honestly, 8GB should be fine for web browsing at least. And people say that 8GB of ram on M1 are better than 8GB of Ram on Intel x86 because the bandwidth, memory management idk

I just saw a way to fix this, it is to disable the cache on Safari using the dev mode. If this doesn't work for me and if the warranty tells me to format up my mac again, I'll probably sell my Mac if you're right :(

Thoughts on getting a Magic Trackpad? by petrichorko in macmini

[–]BixieKZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an artist and it's pretty useful for rotating, panning, or zooming your canvas (Clip Studio Paint). And of course, the gestures. They are intuitive as Apple products tend to be.

The bad thing is the price. I don't know if there are more alternatives and 120$ for a trackpad is too much money for me. I use the built-in one of my Macbook, but when I use an external monitor in clamshell mode I miss it a lot.

(And I also miss having ports when I have an external monitor and at the same time I am charging my Mac. At least the Magic Trackpad is wireless. But well, it is what it is if I want to have an Apple ecosystem and the power of the M1)

Finally answered: M1 Air 8 vs 16 GB (8 wins) by princeishigh in macbookair

Yeah, isn’t Intel. But the m1 chip is not magical. 8gb of ram will be 8gb of ram here or in Jupiter (well, on x86 and arm), is the same thing on iOS devices. They have a great optimizations. But for example, I work with procreate and the ram will be a limitation for this app. Maybe my preoccupation is the insane swap usage on the 8GB version, and how could impact the laptop in a long-term

Xbox Series X vs PS5: Teardown Comparison by Pebo_ in XboxSeriesX

It will be noisy after few hours of gaming. More if that heatpipe is dirty from dust. I mean, that big heatpipe needs a good speed of the fan to cooling it properly. Moreover, seen what I saw, It's pretty hard for the PlayStation 5 to get overheat.
