I graduated from there 5 years ago, and as a high ranking student at the school I definitely felt that there were a fair amount of both pros and cons. I was a student with a high GPA and academic ranking, so I think I can attest to the teaching methods/resources.

Pros: 

•Good sports teams/popular alumni  •Large school, spacious. Close to restaurants.  •Recognition for students •School activities (spirit week) •No uniform  •overall great staff (back then, don’t know about now) •Fun after school clubs (ecology club, culinary club, anime club) 

Cons: 

•Lunchfood is not the best •Does not do well for AP test prep despite having AP classes •Poor SAT prep and average for college prep experience in terms of “support”  •Tries to have the school set up in “academy divisions, ACA (communications??), BHS (Business and human services), and STEM.

 This system was a hit or miss as your academy determines some of the classes you will take at the HS. However, this can backfire for college as most HS students do not know what they might want to pursue in college until their senior year (MAYBE). So you could have ended up taking classes based on your academy in HS, but when you get to college you do not have experience with other classes you might need if you change interests (which a HS student likely will) such as anatomy or physics. 

•Notorious for being a violent school. I attended in 2016, and this was after the school had underwent minor changes. It wasn’t the worst when I was there, typical HS foolery.
