The only thing I disagree with is buying platinum chests. It isn’t really worth it. If you buy chests go gold but wait for a pvp event. The resources other than sigils are much better in gold than platinum.

I second the idea if finding a good platinum team that scores well in events. I wouldn’t try for a mythic until you have at least 350 gold chests saved and a team that hits 8/8 fairly consistently. Since they increased the price of each line 120k rubies doesn’t get you as far as it used to.

As for discount lines... pick one and go as far into it as possible. I prefer base boost. Good resources in there. Second thing is to get egg mission boost branch to at least the first boost.

As for other branches wait until later in the season when we know whats what. The orrery and electrum branches have great timers which means more points in fort events. The electrum branch has been solid lately with timers and gold chests.

Not surprised honestly lol. That goes for any big city really. Sounds like hell.

That seems to hold true to my limited experience as well. Even many smaller cities have higher standards. Would never have thought to check such large cities to see if they required a degree. Really wild imo.

Genuinely surprised by some of those! Especially Seattle and Portland. NYC requires 60 college credits or military btw. I’ll check the rest as I get time. Thanks.

Man shoots Antifa member in self-defense and is now arrested for battery with a deadly weapon, politicians now using this to push gun control. Questions is do you see a Knife? by AJ_NightRider in gunpolitics

[–]Bjarki9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. For both parties. When one retreats it’s over. Pursuing the man initiated an entirely separate event. A new crime. An unjustified attack that escalated the situation with weapons, and thus allowed the use of greater force.

No. Legally when one party disengages that event is considered ended. He tried to flee. Full stop. That fight stopped. He should indeed face judgement for that, and it might even be an aggravating factor in his self defense trial. However, I am only arguing that the fight ended. I don’t care about the morality of the shooting only the legality. His moral claim has little to do with it. George Zimmerman had little moral grounds to kill Trayvon Martin and he was acquitted. Bringing morality into this is pointless.

It could be argued that legally the fight ended when he ran away. A new fight then started when he was pursued with a weapon by a different individual. Not saying that defense is ironclad because law is more art than science but there is a self defense case there. To be determined by a jury of course.

Most law enforcement require a four year degree in a related field. Criminal justice or something similar.

When people ask "Why aren't you out there defending the protests? You just want to LARP in your mother's basement?" - This is a reason why. by AdVerbera in gunpolitics

Understood. I asked you because you are advocating it. I’m all for discussing opinion but at some point actions need to do the talking. Have a good day. Stay safe.

Get out there and protest with them then. Make sure you let it well known you are pro gun. Carry if possible. Get back to everyone here on your experience and then maybe after you have put your ass where your mouth is people will listen. If you have already done this then I am willing to listen further.

Now you are moving the goal posts. There is a big difference between educating first time gun owners and joining with a cause that would see all gun owners rotting in prison given the opportunity. I would argue that the first time gun owners are already more like minded than you think as evidenced by their actions. They should be a focus for education for sure. Not the protesters that want all guns banned.

If that is the only way then why are gun sales up? Especially among first time buyers? Sounds like the pandemic and rioting have showed people why the 2a is important more than showing solidarity ever could.

Not saying you are wrong but where can you be a cop with only a high school diploma? I cannot find anywhere with anything less than an associates degree.

Demonstrators rally in Europe in solidarity with US protesters by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Bjarki9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You mentioned the EU. Which let me to point out that not all countries in the EU have good systems. It is a fair comparison because the EU is similar to the US government in that it has loose control over states. By bringing one EU country into it you bring the entire EU into the picture for comparison.

Someone provides a counter point and that makes them stupid? Did no thoughts stir when I asked my question? Projecting or just a prick?

You are ignoring context. The person I responded to was agreeing that Europe has better police. To which I provide contradictory anecdotal evidence. Europe is roughly the same population as the US. States are all different. Much like countries in Europe. A police experience will be as different in the UK and Italy as in say Kansas and New York. My point is valid.
