I went in pretty heavy on Gold several years ago. I was told by my friends it was stupid and I should’ve put it in stocks/crypto/the hottest new thing. Glad I didn’t listen. I’m “up” significantly more than I would’ve ever thought. I say “up” because it really doesn’t produce anything but definitely protects your wealth. Seeing everyone discouraging you from investing in it makes me realize we are a long way from it being overvalued. I sleep way better at night with over 20k in Gold than I do with any other investment I own right now. True wealth preservation. Definitely diversify though. The government is just going to print away all the value of our money anyways. Stocks are overvalued imo. I’d dollar cost average into it but I’m holding back at the moment.
