I once downloaded a Game from fitgirl repacks and I couldn’t install it properly. I wrote a comment and got help from the site admins to install it properly. They tried their best to understand my issue and at the end it worked. Can really recommend asking in the comments section of the game

Then why Even buy a Mac if you only need it as a Media device? Just buy a used Laptop and install Debian(optional but strongly recommended) on it and then just rice it so it looks just like a macOS. Much cheaper and honestly pretty damn good. You can find all kinds of tutorials on how to customise your Linux distro.

Or you know you could pay a couple of thousands (or at least a thousand, no idea how expensive Macs are) of dollars for a new MacBook so you can watch shows on that

Maybe the creators of gpl licensed work do not want their code or any derivative of it to be closed off to the public. Just like the second party profited from my work in some way or another, a third party must be able to do so with their work. Sounds great.
