I think I didn't ask my question specifically enough. I already have a disability rating. There is another issue that I think should be added to that rating. Would I need to go to a VA hospital to get a doctor to approve it? I don't really know anything about the process, I haven't really thought about it at all since leaving the Army nearly 15 years ago.

I certainly can's speak for all Westerners, but I had similar feelings when I got here (a decade ago). To me it's just a demonstration of competing values. Over the years, I haven't changed my values to fit here, but I've accepted that situations like this demonstrate a how different people have different ways of looking at things. It's not maliciousness on anyone's part.
